After waiting for the realse of the newest edition of Propinball, we were sadly disappointed. We cannot figure out a rhyme or reason to the game even after trying to read the manual that comes with it. Table seems to inherently lean towards the right hand side of the screen, making for a lot of lost balls. Video screen is smaller, scoring is low, and although very good in the graphics department, lacks in user fun. This looks more like a first or second attempt instead of the fourth. If you enjoy decent graphics its a good buy... otherwise don't waste your money.

Stinks. I thought it would have more pinball games. A waste of money.

This is the best of the Pro Pinball games for the PlayStation. Gameplay is straightforward to anyone who has played pinball games before, and what few questions I've had were easily answered by the manual. There are plenty of things to play for, and the board progresses at a pace so that it is very hard to get bored. Physics are very realistic. Only two complaints, one minor, the first more of a deal: The first is that the vibration function for the controller seems to have no rhyme or reason--it just seems to vibrate whenever it feels like it. The second complaint is that it can't handle multiballs very well: with two or three or more balls in play, the display gets jerky and uneven (oddly, this is true even when some of the balls are locked away and aren't moving!) Still, this is an enjoyable game, and ... quite a bargain.
Best of Propinball. Most realistic physics.

A great table, especially for fans of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Jules Verne.
The physics of this game is the most realistic of any I have ever played (on computer or console). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the image flickers during multi-ball play (inexcusable in a console game).
Play is interesting with you being the good guys trying to defeat the bad guy. Special crystals must be collected on four different journeys. You must build a boat, an airship, a submarine (it looks like a fish), and an underground drill. Upon completion of each transport, you go on an adventure that results is several hundred million points (!).
I love the physical play and the steam-punk feel to the game. A great table for pinball fans.

For 15 minutes of pure fun every use, try this one out! I've been a ProPinball fan for years on the PC. This port to the Playstation actually makes the game much more fun than it plays on the computer. The ProPinball series has the best physics of any pinball simulations. Start up Fantastic Journey and you'll feel like you're leaning over the table. Hit a wild shot and your ball hits the "glass", a great touch of realism. The complexity of the different Journeys you attempt to complete promises excellent replay value. Many of the bonuses rely upon flipper accuracy, which forces you to sharpen your aim. At regular Playstation game prices Fantastic Journey was a good value.... but at [price[ you are crazy not to own it. Big Race USA, another ProPinball title, is equally addicting!
