You know, I like this game, it's got everything; track, swim, hurdles, skeet shooting, diving, javilin, biking, weight lifting. It has horrible graphics, but fun things. When I ordered it, I played it right away. I just love PS1 and PS2. They are fun and so is Sydney olympics. And best of all, my name is Sydney! I know that is sooooooo cool! So get it, but beware of the graphics he, he, he...

I really like this game a lot. My name is Sydney, and that's one reason I bought it. But, it actually turned out to be a pretty cool game. I mean, the graphics aren't all that, but the game is.
Now, don't get me wrong by thinking that the game has it all, 'cause it doesn't. But, it is pretty fun. Although the graphics are bad, some of the sports on it aren't the best sports, and it's not the funnest game. I know you'll love it anyway! I think, by star ratings people give it, you won't wanna buy it, but listen to this review!

Beautiful graphics, lifelike athletes, and a great variety of events make this a must have. Like the track classics of the past, some events rely fully on how fast you can hit the buttons without tiring, but along with that, sydney has put some events in that take more time to master. With events like the 100m sprint, hurdles, cycling, lifting, skeet shooting, high jump, triple jump, kyaking, javelin, and hammer throw, it's sure to have something that everyone will like. Unlike the other great track and field games, this one gives you a chance to build up an athlete in certain events, and you can take them through trials and competitions until it is time to compete in the olympics themselves. Amazing graphics and loads of fun. must have for all sports fans.
Don't bother

I thought this was going to be a good game. Then I realized I just wasted my money. I went out a couple of days later and found International Track & Field 2000. That game is 100 times better. So save your money or buy International Track & Field 2000.
It's o.k.

Sidney 2000 isn't the best the best sports game in the world. It is very hard to learn and it barely makes any sense. The graphics are o.k., I would save your money for another game.
Looks like more of the same

Yet another olympic game without a track event longer than 400m, in this case, nothing longer than a 100m. I am waiting anxiously for the time when an olympic or track game will figure a way to do track besides pushing buttons, or at least incorporate a longer race(at least 800m). Also, 12 events just doesn't cut it, with how many different olympic events there are, i think they could have added many more to make this a more complete game. i recommend digging out your old power pads and nintendos and playing world class track and field.
The COOLEST sports game ever!!

Sydney 2000 is the coolest! What'sthe point of buying a sports game if you have only one sport in the game.Sydney 2000 is the best when it comes to sports.Instead of one sport it has a whole bunch of sports in that one game. The games inside of Sydney 2000 are based with The Olympics. It has events like Jumping hurdles and track and even swimming. This game is worth every penny you pay for.A game that's this great is at a great price. So if I were to describe this game in one word it would be:SUPER
The Game for the non-olympian in all of us

This game is terrible. The difficulty level of the qualifying stages make it too hard to actually get to the Olympics, and the arcade version is just stupid. Do not waste [the money] on this piece of trash. Heck, if you lived in Australia you might be able to actually see an event for that price. Spend it on the real thing instead of this. The controls are terrible, and you need a strategy guide for sure to have success in this game. Don't buy it. It is a waste.
Not worth it!

I was sorely dissapointed in this game! My son was thrilled with the Olympics and as such, we bought this game to add to our PlayStation library. I wish I hadn't! The graphics are bad and the events are way too difficult! Many events require you to alternately tap two buttons at the same time to make your athlete swim or run -- it is just too hard and becomes very frustrating for adults and kids! We put it away and haven't touched it in weeks. Don't bother!
