This game is fun for awhile. In fact for the first night I had it I couldn't put it down. Then I have beaten the game enough times to unlock every hidden team it became exteremely boring. Once the good graphics and fun super throws wear off then u kinda get bored with it. Once u have mastered the techniques (jumps, dash throws, etc.) the game becomes so boring that I just played Suer Mario and F-Zero (both very good games).
Overglorified Pong.

That's all this game is. Throw the ball, catch the ball, throw the ball again... The only redeeming factor is the super throws, but they aren't worth the price of admission.
Not the least bit challenging

I rented this game for my GBA and they didn't give me an instruction booklet - nor have I ever played the Super Dodge Ball for the old NES. I'm no connoisseur of sports video games.
Nevertheless, I forged ahead and figured out the controls and tricks on my own. Once I had the hang of it, I was demolishing every opponent I played. So I turned up the difficulty to the max level, which didn't seem to make the least bit of difference. I marched straight up to the top of the tournament brackets and beat the final opponent without any resistance. I kept waiting to get to an opponent who would pose a challenge, but it never happened. The same maneuvers work over and over and over again; plus, you can catch the opponents' throws about 90% of the time if you just keep pushing the button fast enough. Needless to say, it stopped being fun after just a few short matches.
On the plus side, there are lots of bells and whistles. You can build your own team, giving each player the name, physique, and playing style of your choice.
So if you're a little kid or have never played a sports video game in your life, check out Super Dodge Ball Advance. Otherwise, save your money.

either buy the game used or if you have about 100 friends with the game. otherwise it is pointless because it takes about a half an hour to beat, literally. after that you can just use exhibition mode and play which gets pretty boring.
overall:
replay value: 3/5
control: 2/5, the menus are easy to navigate but super throws just happen and there is no way to pick which one you will use
sound5/5: the tunes are catchy and aren't boring
graphics:3/5, the only graphics are the little people who can be determined by the color of their hair
multiplayer:3/5, the teams are almost all the same and the difference in their stats doesn't make a difference so once you play someone once the next time it is boring.
Too Simplistic

I found myself playing this game without any real effort or time investment, and finished it within 3 days. It's a cute concept, and might be a good two player game, but as a stand alone it's not worth the price. You just repeat the same strategies: Catch the ball, Super Throw back, repeat. Yes, I know that's the concept of dodge ball, but the challenge was not there.
Not too Good..........

The main reason that i went out and spent... bucks on this game is because this is the closest thing to a sports game that they have out for GBA so far (except for THPS2, but i tried that and the overhead view ruins it). And as I am not particularily skilled at adventure type games, I decided that I would give it a shot. It was a shot that I regret. At first I thought it was awesome, good graphics, simple enough gameplay, super fun, and easy. I got this game yesterday, and now a day later, (today), I am incredibly bored with it! This is not a game that should brag about depth. As far as I can tell this game has little too no depth at all. They tried to cram so many super shots in that it's practically random as to what shot you do except that button combos seem to do something but there's no saying what. There is an exhibition mode and the equivilent of a tournament mode. That is all. Sure, you can choose whatever team you would like to be in Exhibition mode and you can do the same in the tournaments after you win for the first time (Which shouldn't take too long) (your first time playing through the tournament you have to use a certain team, and you can choose what country they are from. The teams original name is the Heros, but you can change the name as you can do with the players on your team.) But you essentially play the same tournament over and over and over, except that each time you get a super team, but the second super team is not much different than the first one that you get, and they are all pretty cheap to use against other teams. This is a fun game at first, but the lack of depth takes the fun out of it pretty fast.
Great Graphics but great game? Maybe not.

The graphics on this may look stunning and you may be concealed with getting this game because of that, but it isn't really all that fun. I mean, you catch the ball and press A. Is that really all that fun?
waste of cash

If you want to play against other players, they must also have the game cartridge.
