I tried this game out before giving it to my son for Christmas. I was quite disappointed in it. I didn't like not being able to control Mickey, instead you control a hand and click on items. Then Mickey will go where you clicked. It also had VERY long cartoon animation where you can do nothing, and you can not skip it. I was worried that my son would get easily bored, as I was waiting for it to get to the actual game play.

Fortunately he does like the game. Even the animation. I will say that the graphics are very good. But I would also say that I don't see him playing this past 6 years of age. I think it's more centered for younger kids. It also has two settings, so far we've stayed on the easier one, where you don't go finding pieces of the puzzle. And it seems to have less of the cartoon animation. Fun points of the game we found was Mickey skiing and flying the air plane (both of which you actually get to control Mickey in!). I think this game would have been really great had the kids been able to control Mickey, and maybe a little less of the cartoon animation.

hmm. .

Ok, this game is geared towards children, I will admit. You don't control mickey at all, which I was kind of upset about, but hey, what am I to do, ya know? Well after playing for awhile (more like 2 hours) I finished this game. Unless you are between the ages of 2-5 I would reccamend not buying this. But the graphics are really good, its just that sometimes (ok, MOST of the time) you wish you could just hit start and have the game go a little faster. This was my first NGC game, and well, I am honestly hoping that not all of them are like this, b/c if they are... ebay HERE I COME.

Warning: Ages 6 and under only!!

Don't be surprised by the game's inviting, adventourous cover. It's not much fun. This game is really intended for younger kids.
Most of the time you are just directing Mickey to open doors or solve no-brainer puzzles, and the only decent interaction is the mini-games you play now and then.
If you're really craving a good Disney game, then buy Donald Duck Goin' Quackers. It's much more fun.

When I first got this game it looked fun but when I played it for the first time is was horrible. The graphics are bad. I didn't even know how to play it even after looking at the instruction manual. Even in the middle of the game, it would pause without me going to the main menu. I would never buy it again, even if someone paid me. Do not waste your money on it.

This is the worst mickey mouse game yet

I thought this would be a stupid kid game. Not only does my 4 year old grandson love it, so does his 7 year old sister and his Dad and me his Grammy. It was entertaining and a good learning experience for young children. Helps to teach them about following choices and how to make decisions. My grandson loves it.

Disney kinda screwed this up.

Well, I purchased this game for something to play and have my three year old watch and to be totally honest, i was very dissappointed. The graphics are pretty and the little side quests are vaguely entertaining once you get over the little pointy hand interface.
Good Things:
Kid vs Normal. I liked the fact that there was a kid version and a normal version of the game. This is nice and the spacing out of the scarier stuff into the "normal" version was a good idea. They should have handled puzzles more in this fashion too (more later).

In Kid mode ... Mickey runs around and does stuff on his own. I liked this ... the unattended play version. Good stuff.

Big Problems:
Ok. In some of the short puzzles ... if you run out of time ... the game says, "Time Out" and yer done. The syntax here is correct however, a lot of younger kids know those words as some sort of punishment phrase. Time Out ==> Off to a corner or your room or whatnot. I just didn't like that phrasing.

Next big problem is the TV. Boggle. In the beginning of the game is a television that Mickey cannot turn on. (This is both in kid and normal mode) Ok ... So you push the button ... no luck ... then if you are fast, you can perform a "Trick" and try the remote ... this doesn't work as well. So ... later you shrink mickey mouse and low and behold he climbs under the television and TADA ... the solution ... Mickey plugs the television into the wall. Now the remote will work. Now ... my three year old, when seeing this immediately said, "Bad Mickey!" because he's not allowed to plug things into electrical outlets ... but that might not be a common rule.

Overall, i thought the game was pretty, though there isn't a great deal of material here ... and there is a good amount of interactiveness in the game but as a parent, i found the content in this DISNEY title to be a little disturbing.

It's cute. Rent it.

I know this game looks like it's only for little kids, but it's really not. I'm a sophmore in highschool, and I enjoyed this game immensely! I was surprised how hard it is. I got stuck several times, but it's probably because I over-analyzed situations, as a small child probably would not. Also, not far into the game you can tell that the controls are obviously geared for small kids, but you forget after awhile. However, I do like to explore less patronizingly in video games, and the movies get a little tedious. But, overall, this game was very enjoyable. If you loved Luigi's Mansion (like I did), you'll also love this game. They are a very similar concept of exploring a mansion w/ ghosts.

Neat graphics, good game but it can be boring. It would be nice if you could move mickey but you just point and click, which is not my thing. It is an action/adventure game.
