My oldest son was having a lot of trouble in grade two with both math and reading and I purchased this CD-rom hoping it would help him to learn by having more fun and not even realizing he was learning. I was not let down. He loves to play this game. The story line is great and very entertaining and the graphics are excellent. Overall I highly recommend this game to help any child to master early grade math skills. Well woth the money.

have not been able to install it yet...

well, recieved reader Rabbit Math 4-6 most recently along with a few other Stuart Little Math & Writing CDs and have had the worst time installing.

Tried to install on Win98 and it failed, indicating it required a "wing".exe file. Same problem with a brand new WinXP operating system.

Sent inquiry to Broderbund to fix the problem and received a response of instructions the size of a small novel! This is without a doubt the most difficult software program I have ever tried to install. Whenever I should get it installed (reading page 78 in "resolving the Wing.exe issue at the moment) I will return for a review on this program..

In the meantime, my little on is enjoying the other 12 children's learning programs, including Stuart Little.

Time well spent!!!

Its tough finding something for kids to play while not spending a fortune and wasting brain space on senseless games. The Reader Rabbit series are great because they offer great ways to learn while keeping things simple and fun in a cartoon-like format. The software is easy to install and I found that my six year old could easily navigate the program without getting stuck. She sat on it for hours along with her brother!!

The software is easy to install and I found that my 1st grader could easily navigate the program without getting stuck. ... I was surprised to see the fun she had with the program and look forward to purchasing further copies.

Very good for building logic skills

I tutor children for a living and I have found this software to be very good for building logic skills in children. It is stimulating to them and doesn't lose them by becoming difficult too quickly. This game is much better than it's math and reading counterparts. Although they are useful, they span too many levels at one time. I would say Thinking Adventures can be used as early as 3 years and still can remain challenging until 5 or 6 years of age. You can leave a child alone with this software for 2-10 minutes at a time (I would not recommend children playing on a computer for longer than this as they need physical stimulation), whereas most educational software for this age requires constant instruction from an adult.

This is a great math game. The colors are bold and music is entertaining. It can be a little fustrating swimming through the stream to get the right answers for younger ones.

A definitely must have!!

This program is great fun and educational for any kid between the ages of 5 and 9. My 4 year old loves to play even though he hardly understands math concepts. He sees the fun his older siblings are having and therefore joins in. My 2nd grader gets easily frustrated with math but not with this software, simply because it is entertaining and he does not even realize that he is doing math.

I bought this product for my 9 yr old. The game is well made and has a theme behind it. Players have to solve a variety of math puzzles before achieving the objective of the game. Most kids will like this game and it should improve their math skills.

This product is great and delivery was quick as a bunny! My kids love it They are homeschooling so its great practice and a terrific teaching tool. My 5 yr old aspires to be in preschool for life, so if he thinks he's playing AND he learns it's just way easier and faster and less frustrating for all. Its Awesome!!Thanks RR! My 3 yr old doesn't "get it" yet...but my 4 yr old loves it! This game teaches early math skills in a fun way! The kids earn tickets as they get things correct and can "buy" things with their tickets. Not a tough game as you would think -being a "math" one...it is fun! It is worth the money & your kids will enjoy the time they spend on it.

1smileycat :-)
