Very short, games looks like they are from about 10 years ago, the only thing that makes it somewhat worthwhile is the story. One word.... STUPID.
Entirely mediocre, inlcuding the story....

I agree with another reviewer, this should have been freeware. Not only is this a TOTAL waste of money, but a lot of it is really disturbing, AND the graphics and games are so lame! The "sounds" are really sick, I mean how often can you listen to someone being stabbed or strangled? Why would you want to? The only good screensaver is a demented clown, but again, the graphics left me wanting SO much more! And the screensavers--forget it. They range from crappy animation to again, really queasy and mysoginist! What kind of person wants to see a woman stabbed over and over agian as she struggles for help? And you can see this scene played out in every room of the house! Yech! Don't get uppity, I AM a King fan, but this collection of sickness, plus a TOTALLY mediocre story are a big time and money waste!

For those of you who aren't familiar with F-13, it is a complition of games, screen savers, scary sounds, backdrops, and a short story. My favorite backdrop is the cemetery. I tried using the screensavers (It's just lightning was my favorite.) and had memory problems on both my Performa and my iMac. Any suggestions out there? There are oodles of scary sounds, some of which grossed me out. The games are good too. Whack-a-Zombie is challenging and very addictive. I liked the variety of the ghouls in this game. Bug Splat is somewhat addicting and very gory. No Swimming was fun for five minutes, but then got a little boring after the fifth cow got eaten. More variety could've been used with that game.Everything's Eventual was very good. I won't spoil the plot for you. You will just have to go out and buy it for yourself.

For the few people that complain that F13 is not a real game--read the reviews, preview the package BEFORE you buy--if you were expecting a full-length, feature game then you only have yourself to blame! It's evident that it's a time-killer rather than the standard computer game. However, for true Stephen King fans (and for those who love to find new ways to kill time at the computer), this is a must have. Great features, lots of fun...and purely King.
Too much fun!

I am a real estate agent and I have the murder and mayhem screen saver(great looking house that changes seasons) on my computer at work and EVERYONE that sees it gets a big kick out of it! The games are fun also!

As an avid Stephen King fan, I rushed out to buy the latest and greatest from the king of horror. F13 is the perfect gory answer to all the boring computer interfaces that I've seen. Finally there is something out there worthy enough to compliment my warped sense of humor and stick on my desktop. If you're scared of creepy crawly things in the dark, then you'll love F13. Thanks Mr. King!

I loved "Everything's Eventual" and the entire three stars are for the short story. The Screen Savers and games are mediocre at best. My 8 year old nephew was not impressed. Would have preferred the book all by itself.
Great stuff!

The games are great, and "Everything's Eventual" is another of Stephen King's wonderful made-up stories. It was a new experience for me to read one of his books on the computer, but I managed. Later on, I'll have a review of his latest one, "Riding the Bullet". Until then....
It's about time...

Don't expect miraculous things from this... but both myself and my daughter (my PC & her Imac) can share this, which is great, and the main point is FUN! And it is just that: I am currently enjoying the Bumps & Thumps soundbytes as well as the scrensavers and the hearse that's my current background this week. My 13 year-old had a blast (laughing so hard- it was great!) with the Whack-A-Zombie game. It's harmless and a good time. I would have wished for more sounds and more varied ones at that, but overall, we're enjoying it quite a bit. Thanks, Stephen.
not a game

this is only a couple of screen savers, and 3 mediocre games. the games are not even desktop worthy. this truely is not worth anyones money. it really should be freeware.
