If you've played Nightfire on any of the other home systems, than you'll be pleased to know that for the most part that the objectives, locations, and maps are nearly identical (albeit more simplistic) in this GBA conversion. The only problem is, you'll be lucky if you can see what your doing half the time. The first thing you'll notice when you pop in Nightfire, are the surprisingly blurry graphics. The enemies move around so stiff and the graphics are so blurry that sometimes you'll have a hard time telling if your shooting an enemy or a coffee table, but the enemies shout out annoying one liners at you so this doesn't become that big a drawback (then again..). The clumsy item access interface that is found on any of the other Nightfire versions is here as well, but thanks to the GBA's limited control scheme it is harder to navigate items and while moving and aiming your weapon at the same time. This becomes even more of a pain during the stealth missions. However, Nightfire is not without it's charm; the music and sound effects are excellent and some of the best to be heard on the GBA, and there is a surprising amount of depth to be found thanks to getting to use all sorts of Bond gadgets like the laser wristwatch and tons more, all of which you have access to. That alone is Nightfire's saving grace, and the game's surprising depth makes it worth a rental, but I strongly suggest trying the game before you buy.

Hi. I just purchased this game on March 22, 2003. It is an awesome game. The first person shooter aspects of the game are top-notch. The controls are a bit clunky, but the best that can be done with the GBA. I have seriously enjoyed this game. It has infinite replay value because you can always try to improve your score. Overall, BUY THIS GAME NOW.

I've played the first level, and the game play is excellent. The graphics, while grainy, move very smoothly. The grainy graphics aren't really a drawback, and are simply a result of the platform on which this game runs. The sound is well done also. The game is very much like the other 007's from EA, with the same gadgets and trinkets and such. Picture a 007 game, shrunk.

So Dumb, I gave it to my sister for a Bratz doll

Bratz dolls are ten times better than this game. I gipt my sister because i broke it by throughing against the wall. all these other geeks say it's worth the money, but i say they should give you the game and payYOU $30.00

This game is great, but it does have its downsides, like the fact that it only has nine levals and they are realy hard. But the graphics are super for agameboy advance. And the wide range of wepons is a big plus. The story is kind of cheesy but lots of different loccations like an under water tunnel and flying in outer space make this game a winner in my book. If you like first person shooters than buy this game and fast!

Nightfire 007

Fun, exciting game with james bond atmosphere sounds, graphics and weapons. This was fun, except it was way to hard, even on the normal setting. Characters appear very grainy and it was to tuff to tell who was the bad guy. Very frustrating game with no save points until the end of the level. I would always get to the end of a level, then die, and have to spend another twenty plus minutes to get to the end again. The characters bounce around to quickly, and it takes numerous shots to put them down, even about three head shots before they die. I finished it with cheats. For unlimited ammo - pause then R - left - L - right - Up - Select - right. For Unlimited health pause then R - left - L - right - Up - Select - left. Level select pause then R - left - L - right - Up - select - R. Good luck, you'll need it.

Well

It is worth the money, but only if you like a good challenge. If you have a short patience, don't buy. I've had this game for about 3 mounths, and I'm still stuck on level 3. But, I still think it's fun to try to fiqure out what I'm doing wrong.

Doom, um... I mean Nightfire for the GBA!

This game is a little bit on the strange side. The graphics and what-not remind you of Doom. The music is creepy at points due to its low resolution sound. My friend yelled at me once because I turned it up and scared him! For each aspect of the game, I will give you a 1 to 10 rating:
Story-7/10
The story involves a special missile of mass destruction. Like Moonraker, right?
Gameplay-3/10
Sad gameplay that takes months to get used to. Becauseit is a first person shooter, we have difficulties. Instead of a nice joystick for maneuvering, you have a square gamepad. The fact that it is first person defintely affects the game in general.
Graphics-2/10
Doom graphics. Because the effects are blocky, it makes levels with security cameras difficult. It is hard to tell whether a camera is facing you or not. The graphics are definitely sad. They tried to hard...
Difficulty-9/10
The gameplay and graphics increase difficulty. In stealthy levels, men do not need to go to a panel to make an alert. One word and you fail. The cameras are hard to see as well as the baddies making it very hard.
Overall-5/10
A halfway decent game that had to much work done on it. I have played it from a friend, but I must say I would not buy it unless it is 90% off. Just rent it and try it out.
