This is THE best game! I got it the day it came out and it is awesome. You can set the time and day of the week and everything. There are too many things to list so here they are in short: 101 new pokemon, male and female pokemon, tons of battles, and in the end-well, I won't ruin the surprise, but it's kind of like getting two games in one. I simply can't list all the good things in that little cartridge so JUST BUY IT!!!!

Pokemon Silver is the best Pokemon game ever. For the game, it's day and night thing is cool. I got my game off the net and it's on my computer. I'm stuck on the STEEL Pokemon gym. For the beginning of the game, you can choose Chickorita, Cyndaqil or Totodile. The first time I chose Chickorita, but the 2nd time (This one) I chose Totodile. The music is cool (But on my game it jumps and it's weird). I got the game in English, but I played it first in Japanese and I had no idea what was going on, but when I got it in English I understood. If you want to play Pokemon Gold also, play Silver first, so you get it. Gold is usually in Japanese so it's harder for first time players. Play Pokemon Blue or Red first. But I'm a Pokemon master (Hey, i played Pokemon Yellow and got my pikachu up to level 99!). Hey, does any1 know what the hell Pokemon Crystall is? Email me at richluver@5ive-online.com with any info. Thanxs! Anyway, Pokemon Silver deserves 5 stars, I'm hooked!
Batteries...Dead (INTERNAL) Batteries...

As many of you may already know, Second Generation Pokemon games (Gold, Silver, Crystal) use internal batteries to allow players to save data. The batteries in most of these cartridges are dead. If you're going to buy this game or any of the others, you should plan to have the battery replaced.
That said, if you can find someone or someplace to cheaply replace the battery, you should buy this game if you are even remotely interested in Pokemon. You should also buy it if you have an old Blue, Red, or Yellow cartridge lying around with your old data on it, and more than one Game Boy unit. You can trade all your old favorite Pokemon to the next generation (about mid-way through) and they will level up nearly twice as fast. You can also teach them new moves.
This game is almost twice as long as the original, because you get to go back to the cities in the original after you collect the first set of badges. It also has an internal clock, and some Pokemon can only be caught at night, in the morning, etc. It's a really interesting concept that more games should take advantage of.

Two buttweeds at school make fun of me on the bus, saying I like Pokemon, the fact is I don't! All sorts of kids back me up, but still. Pokemon was big and glorius for 5 years. Now they don't get it!!!!!! Pokemon's done! The games are no different from the others and have everyone buying all of the games to later get stuck. Children stay with this, other Japanese fans go to Goji.
Not too good...

I love Pokemon and I bought the Gameboy Color as soon as I could. I first bought Pokemon Blue and later my mom's friend gave me Pokemon Silver. Since Pokemon Blue [wasn't great], I was really excited about Silver, but later I found that it wasn't much better. Here are some pluses and minuses of the game:
PLUSES:-
1)Full Color
2)Graphics improved from Blue.
3)Language improved from Blue.
4)Johto is more interesting with different places and different people.
MINUSES:-
1)You can never see your Pokemon fighting.
2)You can't choose to be a boy or a girl.
3)You're always doing things for others and running errands.
4)The Pokemon cries aren't very good.
5)You have a limitation of six Pokemon, which is a nuisance.
6)You only get great balls and all after a long time.
My advice is: buy Pokemon Crystal or don't buy any, 'cause it's not worth the money!
Stupidest game ever!

I have played a lot of games since I got my game boy color but this has to be the dumbest. Why make a new game? The game is exactly the same. It gets very boring very fast. My little 4 yr. old cuz has played it for 3 days now and has beat it. Thats with me sitting on the side of him and just reading it not telling him anything about what to do. When I got mine I forced myself to play it so i could say I beat it so my grandma wouldn't bug me to waste my day and play it. I ended up beating it in the first day.The telephone and the radio are so agravating. All of the stations are stupid and only 3 on each different radio. The telephone is the worst of all. All of the trainers say the same thing and call almost every 5 min. I hate pokemon myself. Seeing all of the dumb reviews of people actually liking the game it makes me sick. I know alot of people will disagree with me, some reasonable ones will. If you are in the age category 9-15 I would consider Torok are something like that. But this,THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY ~ : (

This game was a mistake, yeah sure there are new pokemon and some new features like the watch and backpack and cell but after that don't expect much. This game might go under the RPG catagory but if it did it would be an insult to the catagory. This might suit a 4-11 YEAR old but not older then that. Real gamers and hardcore RPG gamers would think that the level of diffulculty in this game is a joke. This first game was an pretty good RPG only because it was a kind of new thing but the theme in a sense of a video game got old fast. I'm not sayin that pokemon got old and boring, heck you coul put the word pokemon on anything from underware to breakfast cerial and it would be on every kids christmas list. What i'm trying to say is that the GAME theme got old and this is just a facy re-hash
