This is essentially the same as the N64 version but the graphics are a little smoother, and there's the option to play the Master Quest version, which is the same but much harder. So here's my review of the N64 version to save time:
Out of my experience, this game is by far the best in the series. Its better than Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and yes, even A Link to the Past, a fan favorite. The graphics are not amazing, but they work just fine, and at the time they were made, were quite high end. The story is original and fun. The quests are varied and entertaining, unlike the fetch quests you get in today's action rpgs. It has a good enough sound track, and some of the ocarina songs will be stuck in your head forever. My point is, go out and find this game now or your videogame experience will never be complete!
just perfect

this game is awesome its by far the best zelda game in my opinion! the only problem is the fact that you get stuck sometimes. however its still a great game the ocarina songs and spells are a great add on to the main storyline and intertwine well.if youre looking for a good rpg game look here.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest actually includes two games, Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Time Master Quest. Master Quest has the same story and landscape, but the dungeon puzzles are changed; it is actually harder to play Master Quest after you have played the original.
Both games have you start out playing as a boy living with other children called the Kokiri children of the forest. The game begins when the guardian spirit of the Kokiri, the Great Deku tree Summons the boy (whose name is what ever you type in at the beginning but his general name is Link) to him after the Deku tree is cursed. After breaking the curse Link travels all over the land of Hyrule to search for the spiritual stones of fire and water to stop an evil thief named Ganondorf from finding a powerful object called the Triforce. To do this he must collect items like a boomerang, slingshot, and bombs. Link will battle dinosaurs and travel within giant fish and trees. In the later part of his journey he goes inside volcanoes, under the water, and even under a graveyard!
To complete the game it will take 40 hours or more! Add in all the side quests and you are looking at 70+ hours of gameplay; and then you can redo it in the Master Quest! The only problems I found is that the controls feel strange compared to other Gamecube Zeldas (like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess). By today's standards the graphics are not that good, but when the game was released in 1998 they were some of the best seen on the Nintendo 64. However despite these problems the game is still one of the best I have played on any console. You should get this game!

When my parents gave me a Gamecube System for my birthday a few years ago, I had no idea what game to get. I was used to getting Mario games for my game boy advance, but this was the first time I had bought something as big as Gamecube. I had eventually chose The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition and Pokemon Colosseum, because I thought that getting a 50 dollar game (pokemon) and then getting a 15 dollar game sounded pretty reasonable (:-)) so I got home and i started playing Pokemon and it took me about a 4 days to complete it (pokemon). After that I wanted a new game but my parents said that i should wait at least two more weeks before I get another game. I decided to give the ocarina of time (what seemed like A VERY BORING GAME) a try. The second I started playing I LOVED IT! I was glued to it for 2 months. In my entire 3 years of having a gamecube I have never played a game more exciting, fun and thrilling as this one. I have played it about 5 times, completing it till the very last Gold Skulltula and Heart Piece are found. This game may seem boring, but do not judge until you have played it (the way I did).......buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: After I played this game I had just found out how much a rip off Pokemon Colloseum was! (50 bucks! Please~)
A waste!

This game??? No way! It's fun and challenging but they made this? I have the collectors edition, around 5-10 dollars, and it includes ocarina of time, majora's mask, original nes legend of zelda, original nes legend of zelda 2, a 20 minute demo of the wind waker, a retrospective of all the games, and a special preveiw for the wind waker. The master quest only includes ocarina of time! See what I mean?
This is the best game in world history!

This is the best game I have ever played. It was really challenging(not like the frusterating kind of challenging), had great graphics for its time, had a great storyline, and was really long. This game took me over a year to beat, and I enjoyed every moment of it. This is also the one and only game that I would suggest that you buy even if your only slightly interested. I will also highly recommend Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess, they are both amazing, although Ocarina of Time beats both by a long shot!

Wow! It's amazing that price for this bonus disk has gone up every now and then. This is definetly worth the money even though it really cost almost nothing when it was first given out to the people that order Wind Waker back in the day. I really recommend this Zelda game for those who are new to it. It's one game, but two different versions of it. One is the original version and the other is the harder version which is called "Master Quest." Hurry and get yourself a copy before they become more expensive or out of stock.
If you haven't tried this game, you're missing out on the best game ever!

This is a really fun, excellent, long game. It took me and my sister three years to finish this game! This is the type of game that you won't get bored of. Also, once you defeat the game, it is still a challenge to do it over again. You can have a bow and arrow, hookshot, magical powers, ocarina, bottles to carry useful things in, bombs, slingshot, boomerang, Deku sticks and nuts, and a broken Goron's sword (not worth it; breaks right away). The bosses are really hard, but still fun to defeat. There is no animated blood. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS GAME, YOUR MISSING OUT ON LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
