This game was pretty cool, but two things were missing. You didn't get to do any thing where the Dursleys live. ( The dursleys are Harry's Aunt and Uncle that he lives with if you havent read the book) The game starts out right at Hogwarts. And the other bad thing was quidditch was too easy. Once I flew a couple of times I "mastered" flying! Other than that the game was pretty cool. You get to sneak around at night a lot. One more thing, fighting Voldemort is also way too easy. all you have to do is let his spells hit the stone pillars and then stand behind the Mirror of Erised and let hhim kill himself!

This game is fun but tough. It's interesting how they put it together because as you go to each class, you have a fun adventure. I think if you liked the movie, you will love the game. When I got the game, I thought you do what Harry does in the movie.
Please get into the game!

You've seen the movie and read the book, now be Harry Potter in this hard to figure-out game. This game will not only let your kid have fun, but also expand your childs learing abillity. I own this game and based on what I know it is so exiting you never know what's comin up next. This game is so good that I can hardly belive that they were able to roll it into that small package. It is hard for me, a 9 year old and I recomend this game to those of about 10 years of age or "advacned" users.
Great Game

If you have looked at the pictures that Amazon gives you, they are wrong. Those are pictures from the Gameboy Color version. On Gameboy Advance the graphics are 3D and are muuuuuuuch better.
This game includes all the great climates of the book into the game like the Fight with the Troll(though not like the movie), going to all of the classes, Getting the Remebrall from Malfoy, Playing Quidditch, Exploring Hogwarts, Detention in the Forbidden Forest, The Midnight duel, and the most important of them all... the last few challenges like the Devil's Snare, The Chess Match, The black fire potions and THE FIGHT WITH HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED, LORD VOLDERMORT!
This game also has parts where you use your control pad to learn spells and then use them in challenges after you learn it and throught the whole game.
You learn spells like Flipendo, Alahomora, Avifor, Lumos, and Wingardium Leviosa.
There is one bad thing about this game though you are the only one in Gyffindor earning house points.

The game is great. I have the games for gameboy advance, gameboy color, and windows. The bad thing and the reason I deducted a star was because of frustrating gameplay, misplaced graphics, and not including norbert and the invisibility cloak. The other 4 stars are for good graphics, good way to learn spells, good spell choice, and the hogwart's 7 floor layout. Great game, great layout, great EA.

This game isn't very good. It takes too little time to complete, is too easy, and where not easy, nearly impossible. unlike most games, there are only certain spaces where you can stop to save, and it doesn't follow the storyline. Example, Madam hooch is the one who puts you on the quiddich team, and you get the book on Nicholas flamel in the restricted section. And you have to make a potion, not choose one for Snape's challenge, and you don't play chess on the chessboard. And to learn a spell, you just move your wand up down left and right! Downright stupid! Not good for gamers under 10. Advance wars is much better as well as F-zero.
Eight hours after I started...

I adore this game. It's one of the most entertaining I've ever found. It is, admittedly, a game for the fans -- but I'm a really big fan. It's not so difficult that an older child can't manage it (I would guess it's aimed at the same age group as the books, though like the books it appeals to a wider age range), but I'm 26 and it's one of my five favorite games of all time. Of course, when the sequel comes out in November, it may get challenged! The graphics are a little cardboard-cutout looking, but the music is great and the attention to detail is superb (note Ron's sweater with the big R on the front). The Famous Witches and Wizards cards are really interesting to look at, and I've never seen anything in a game that was quite as wild as the secret passages used by Ron's twin brothers. They literally come out of the woodwork all over the school! As far as puzzle-solving games go, it's not among the most brilliant, but for an adventure game, it's excellent.
Not Harry Potter, but pretty close

This game does a pretty good job of sticking to the storyline, and has a creative gameplay. However, it varies from being waaaay too easy, to being far too hard (it literally took me 6 months to complete one task). My advice: buy Chamber of Secrets, it seems to be the superior.
