Great Game!

Don't need to say much! Great game with nice new features! Destructible environment is a huge plus, besides all the great stuff Battlefield brand brings to the table! The Gold Edition is not that big of a deal, but for an extra 10 bucks I actually enjoyed the extra content that shows how the game engine was made and the game right after once they nailed the engine! Like this stuff a lot! So, it would not make much difference if I had gotten the regular edition but I am not disappointed with this one!

Campaign is fun, Multiplayer even better. Lack of Conquest makes it a 4 star, but the promise of being a downloadable content, makes it up for it!

This Game ROCKS!

Battlefield: Bad Company is one of the best games out there! I believe it to be the best installment of the Battlefield Series. The graphics are outstanding, plus the ability to completely demolish everything on the map is quite extraordinary. There are also some fun things to do like having four guys in full gear riding around on a golf cart...lol friggin hillarious! BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic game for non-hardcore FPS Fans

I am not a big fan of the FPS genre. I play them from time to time, but they always seem WAY too complicated to me, and they usually are not easy to sit down and then pick back up a month later. I hate complex systems where I have to remember all these special combos in order to play the game. That is NOT this game.

You can pickup this game in a few minutes. The controls and simple and well organized (unlike the controls in Army of TWO or RB6).

The graphics are amazing. Yes, there are glitches and places that you can't destroy everything. But the ability to blow a wall out of a building to get at the enemy behind it awesome and very satisfying.

The single player game is a movie cut scene driven system. It is well written for an FPS and keeps the player moving into the game very well. You unlock new weapons in the game by finding them on dead enemies for the most part.

The online gameplay is amazing. You start with a few weapons and unlock more through gameplay. Your character has some RP elements to it by being able to spend your unlock points on things you like to do. You can unlock sniper rifles if that is all you like to do for example rather than getting a new assault weapon.

Playing online has been a lot of fun for me. I don't normally like FPS online play (too many kids with foul mouths yelling all the time). But this has been a lot of fun to play and level your character. You gain ranks and medals through online play.

VEHICLES!

You can also drive and shoot a lot of vehicles. In particular I love the ability to jump on a tank someone else is driving and be their gunner. If they jump out you can then take over and drive as well. Helicopters are included as well (hard to fly, but cool).

FUN FUN FUN - Squad concept too

I have not had this much fun playing an FPS since the original Unreal series. The maps are huge and leave a lot of room to run around. You fight a series battles on each multiplayer map. You can also choose to spawn with your squad, or to go back to the base. This is a lot of fun when you have a good squad as you can look out for each other while playing. There is a system between matches where you can rate your play with each squad mate and then you are paired up with people you like when they are online. Makes it even more fun when you get to know people online and then play together with them.

Gold edition might not have been worth it, but for me I thought it was nice to get the extra weapons.

Different than what I expected, but still fun

I love COD4, and thought this would be somewhat like it, but I wasn't too disappointed to find it different, it is still a great game, maybe not COD4 great, but great nonetheless. Takes some getting used to, but once its there its fun. Fun to drive and shoot from the vehicles.

Great Single Player

I can't connect for multi-player, so I generally stick to games that have single player action. This game is refreshing with the comedic dialog from Haggard and Sweetwater as you progress through each level of battle. The overall action of the game is great as well as being able to do damage to structures now.

This game is very fun as you advance in the game every level gets harder to complete.

I must say that the single player campaign was average, it was enjoyable. Consider the campaign a training mission series for multiplayer. The multiplayer game is off the charts good! Vehicles, mortars, airstrikes, artillary, helicopters, anti-air weapons, dozens upon dozens of weapons in massive battles on really enjoyable maps! Mostly everything in the game is destructible, if it grows, is built or is in the way you can usually find a way to blow it up or saw through it with a sub machine gun. I got a lot more than I expected from this game!

Great gameplay- bad business.

The storyline is excellent, and the single player campaign though not without its problems is pretty fun. There's no one set way to finish off any level and it generally allows you to do the mission how you want to do it. The enemies though, always know where you are so its pretty hard to hide, and a couple of missions can get pretty frustrating because of that.

The muliplayer is hours of fun. The problem I have with this game, and why I would not recommend buying it is because EA has decided to withhold certain weapons that are already on the disk to force you to jump through hoops to unlock them. One of them, the most powerful sniper rifle in the game, can no longer be unlocked. The rest have to be unlocked in ways that have absolutely nothing to do with the game itself. IE: Playing other battlefield games and registering them online, or playing the demo for so long, or checking your stats online.

Its a horrible marketing ploy and I would actually recommend not buying the game because of it.

BF: Bad Company Gold Edition will blow your mind away!

This game is a revolution to the FPS.
With the ability to change your eviroment as you play, is pheonominal. It really gives it the realistic sense of the world. Just the idea of blowing up a wall to make a new vantage point, or running through it with a tank, is shear joy that most FPS lack. It sounds incredible. It's so realistic that, if you have surround sound with the bass turned way up - you will FEEL the tanks and gunshots rumble the floor around you. Words are just not enough.
I must say I have never had a gaming experience this fun in years.

Now on to the Gold Edit features.
The behind the sceens & map "tips & tricks" videos are a great way to get the heads up on some of the maps before most people do.
The 5 unlocks are a must, at least if you don't have time to grind up to level 25. It's also pretty cool to start out with some better weaponry rather than the weaker defaults. In a way, you could probably level up faster by getting points easier with better equipment.

Pros:
-Unmatched graphics.
-Realistic sounds.
-Shifting/changing eviroments.
-Cooler, more updated vehicles than in previous BF games.
-Squads give fun interaction between players.
-Fun to have early access to weapons.
-If pre-ordered, promotional sniper rifle
-It's a hell of a lot of fun!!

Cons:
-Price, about 10 bucks more for really comentary & early access to weaponry.
-Bonus Features could have a little more BONUS for the extra buck.
-Pre-ordered sniper code is not (yet) sent through Amazon.com... (suckage)

I recomend this game to the Hardcore or casual FPS gamer! This game is incredibly fun to play!
5 stars! Good work EA!

An awesome game with a frustrating Amazon experience.

Great game, lots of fun things to do, and Gold Rush is a great game type. The only problem I had was the pre-order from Amazon. I pre-ordered the Gold Edition and never got a code for the sniper rifle. I just assumed that I'd get one, but apparently Amazon thinks that the gun is included on the Gold Edition disc when it clearly is NOT. It's a different set of weapons! And good luck explaining that to anyone. I've sent 2 emails and talked to a guy on the phone and it's like I'm getting them to give me a million dollars or something. Just give me the code and we can both move on with our lives! Anyway, the game is top notch, I just won't be doing another pre-order via Amazon.
