This game is great and the fact that the game comes with the New PlayStation Eye makes it even better. The PSEye brings the cards alive on the screen. Each card is different and attacks in a multitude of different ways. The game comes with a 30 card starter deck, a booster pack. The cards are pretty cool look overall the game is quite impressive. Then fact that you get the PSEye which will let you download and use the EyeCreate software (free) off the PlayStation Store is also an awesome bonus. You can create some random wacky videos with it.
The game is awesome!
What a great idea! Be ready to cough up some cash if you want everything though.

This game is great fun and involves very much depth of thought and some practice to get good at. I picked mine up a few nights ago and had to go back for more cards tonight so my buddy could play too. Beware of this - if you plan to play with anyone else you have to buy another full deck or enough boosters to build another 30 card deck. I dont find the starter deck too weak just not as interesting as the themed sets available. I would reccomend getting extra cards pretty soon after buying the game as they make it a lot better.
I have never been a huge fan of card games because they required a bit too much imagination to be fun to me. The battle scenes and the way the cards come to life fill the gap that made me not like ccg's. This game sorta reminds me of the yu-gi-oh or however you spell it cartoon tv show. The expansion and booster packs keep things interesting and give you some cool cards and options.
No issues with my eye- but I did follow the directions! And the room is medium in terms of light.
It is a little involved learning everything but anyone who can play chess should be able to understand this-eventually.
As others mentioned this game will become a obsession and eat up much free time. I was up till 4 my first night. It is very addictive- be warned. Just as much as guitar hero if you ask me.
I really like the playing with others aspect if you can find a friend who will get into it. I don't even care about playing a card game online because I'm sure lots of people will and do cheat like crazy. It is best enjoyed with a good friend. Online might be cool with a honest friend.
Only downside to me is all the money I will have to spend to get all the cards I want, but as much as we enjoy this it will be used for a long time to come.
Fun! it has its flaws.

I do enjoy this game. I love opening up the cards and making a deck and then watching them come to life in my hand. The artwork in the game and cards are amazing and inventive and Wizards of the coast has done an amazing job creating back stories for the universe the cards live in. They have always been great at doing back stories for there worlds. If you have never played Magic: the Gathering. or any other of there many CCG (collectible card games) you may be a bit lost to start with but watch the video's on disk and read the instructions. There is no tutorial and that makes me kinda of sad as it pushes you in the pool and hopes you can swim.
Pros
+Great artwork on the game and cards.
+Cards are fun to open and build decks
+Great two player game.
+Great use of the Eye toy.
+Great Value for the game and Eye toy.
Cons
-Something to sink money into
-lose the cards cant play the game
-Internet games are to easy to cheat. They do take some of the cheating away but you can still print cards and use those.
-The pace can be slow and I can see the younger set (or older set with little patience)
Fun but frustrating

This is gonna be short. The game is realy cool, and the card thing is innovative (kinda), but the little frustion involved in just set-up makes this game not worth the money, plain and simple. Although if you have some sort of permanent set-up where you don't need to ever move the board and stand, then yeh this game is worth it. It all depends on your situation. Oh, one last thing . . . the online play is really really cool, but I get my @$$ handed to me, so beware it's hard.
Strategic, innovative, and a lot of fun.

I had had my "eye" on this game for some time since I got my PS3. I decided to pick it up after Christmas with a gift card since it looked like it would be different and unique. I finally received it and was not disappointed. After going through the tutorial videos my wife and her brother and I have been playing every night this week. Needless to say this game is a LOT of fun. I have never been into battling card games like this before (a little after my time) so I was not sure if I would like. Even though the premise seems simple, control 5 of the 9 squares, the strategy is huge and the variety of cards makes for a lot of thought with each turn. I have yet to play online or even against the computer, I would probably get beat pretty bad, but playing against other nubes like myself has been a blast. We have even pulled off some pretty complicated and strategic moves in our bouts. We like it so much that all together we have purchased three additional decks and three booster packs. Note that if you plan on playing against someone else other than the computer or online you will need another deck of 30. Bottom line is this game is loads of fun to play, it is strategic and makes you think, it is innovative and an amazing use of the PS3 technology. Give this game a try especially if you are looking for something new and different that you can play with a friend.

Look, this game isn't absolutely amazing, but it is new and interesting. Its probably even better if one enjoys card games to begin with (I actually never play with cards, at least not until this game I didn't). What keeps the game from being amazing are a few things in my opinion:
1- Its a card game which means it has the upsides and downsides of card games.
2- Its graphics are hardly impressive, and the music is a bit too loud for my taste
On the other hand, i think the game is worth buying because
1- its absolutely new, and it functions very very well (in all sorts of light conditions)
2- You get a playstation eye, which is a sexy piece of equipment (and the store has downloads that are compatible with it.
3- The price of the entire package is quite good, considering all the things you get with the game.
I hope this helps.
Enjoy
Absolutley FANTASTIC

I always thought those pokemon/magic card games were stupid. Ever since my girlfriend got this for me, I am AMAZED how fun this game actually is. The online play/ranking is also a big +. I actually feel dorky for wanting to buy more packs of cards to get better cards hahaha. But overall Great Game, great gift, suited for anyone :)
Surprising fun game!

I ordered this mostly to just get the Playstation eye but the Eye Of Judgement game is awesome! Im not even into these card games but my friend and I have had a blast playing this. There is a lot of strategy involved in the game and it keeps our interest for about 2 hours every time we play. Im ordering some add on decks from Amazon as well to see some new spells\creatures.
Fun intelligent multiplayer gaming

Its fun to play with the cards and the video of the creatures magically popping up on screen. However, the actual game is brilliant. Its actually a highly deep strategic game which I think classifies as nearly "educational" in how it forces you to think and play. I would highly suggest this to everyone and anyone.

The biggest problem with this product? Its more popular than it was supposed to be. The hardest thing about this awesome game is finding places that still have the booster packs in stock. Wizards of the Coast made a nice move by bringing a physically collectible card game into the online world. My biggest gripe about WotC Magic:Online program was not being able to physically own the cards I "owned". Eye of Judgement fixes that.
The game play is great, but a little challenging if you've never played some of the more indepth CCGs like Anachronism. Playing online is basically like bring the card shop into your home. I'd buy this for all my friends who play CCGs if I had the money for it. A great mix of strategy and deckbuilding with challenging AI for deck practice. Once you can beat the PC, then test your mettle accross the world by playing in ranked or unranked matches. If you like MTG, you'll find this game fun and challenging.
