although i haven't finished it yet,or played online for that matter,this is a great game..... thhe fact that it takes place in new york and i live in new york makes it even better......i love how niko rages when he's on a killing mission..... i also like how when you fail a mission,you have the option of doing it again via a message on your cell phone..... and other good thing is when you get killed,you don't lose your weapons....it only cost you a few bucks for a hospital visit..... you DO lose your weapons when you get arrested,so better to get in a shootout with cops and get killed than arrested......the drinving is A LOT harder with new control buttons,but if you press start and go to controller,you can make the controls classic,that's what i did.....
Large, epic, realistic, and quite a bit of subtle humor.

This is definitely the best GTA of all-time, which is saying a lot, considering how good San Andreas was, in my honest opinion. The scale and scope of Liberty City is just too much to put into words, it's just that jaw-dropping. I've never been to New York City, but I would probably guess that Liberty City resembles the real deal quite well, from what I've seen. Oh, and let's not get started on the innumerable amount of things that you can do....From surfing the internet, to going out with friends and girlfriends, to doing vigilante work for the cops, to picking out wardrobes, missions for a vast and diverse cast of characters, or just going insane and waging war against the entire city, there is always something to do in GTA 4. If you are a true GTA mark or just enjoy a game with a diverse amount of activities and the freedom to do whatever you want, then get this game. If you can somehow get your hands on the Special Edition, then it is a good buy, as well. I like the metal box the best, even though the art book and soundtrack aren't half-bad, either.

He begged and begged. He got lucky it was his birthday. And now I don't exist anymore. I'm sure a lot of girlfriends feel the same way. GTA changes men; if he was once productive, strong, and attentive, he is now a lifeless, robotic game addict who's on permanent auto-mode. sigh...

Special edition has some cool (but useless) things, but the game is the same old stuff you've experienced in its prequels.

The SE awesome i recommend getting it especially the liecense plate it's well made.
About the game well if you dont own this game u are a sinner nuff said....
