Not a bad game, a littile harder then AC3 (no where near as hard as last raven though) about the same length in missions, you get payed less each missions then in the last one (25-60k norm, but buget each shot, ammo normaly will run 17k-20k) and there is a AI arena, were you make/teach a AI to fight like you (tip fight agaisnt the AC ranked D7 when tranning your AI, it has no lock on other then the orbits) and you can use that ai bot for VS mode or TeamArena, or you can just fight agaisnt it if you want, oh yea and dont get hit too much in arena (your weapons can blow up like in last raven)

Great game

This is the first game of the AC series I got and it took me about an hour to figure out the controls and everything but it was worth it. I admit it took me awhile to completely figure out what weapons would be most effective and what type of mech would allow me to use those weapons to their full extent. It took me about 5 tries to finally figure out the perfect mech and what parts were required. In the end I was at the top of the list on the arena rankings even beat the new guys that are suppose to be like the all powerful mechs and I was also able to beat the game and every mission. It may have been challenging at first but once you get use to it it becomes a blast and fun to try out all the different types of mechs and figuring out what type of mech is good for certain missions and opponents. The reason being is because you have to think about what will happen and what might happen because you have to be prepared to take on 1 other raven and then after beating it having to take on another 1 and then 2 at the same time so you have to make sure you have enough AP and some good weapons to take opponents out fast with minimal damage taken. So all in all its a great game that will keep you guessing about what will happen next.

...its the same controls, physics, engine, etc. as ac3, so you know its good. plus it has the new weapon target feature where you can destroy an enemies (or he can destroy your) weapons. plus its got the weapon drop feature which lets you drop weapons on the battlefeild to move faster then come back and pick them up again, of course your enemies (as long as they're ac's) can too! but the most fun has to be the multiplayer. all ac games have been 2 player split screen(i-link 2 player on ps2 ac games) until ac 3 which had 4 player split screen (its alright) and most of all, 4 player i-link!!!! thats 4 ps2's, with a copy of ac3 in each, one tv per ps2 (hooked up to them of course), one 4 pin to 6 pin cable per ps2 (hooked up to ps2 with 4 pin end into the s400 port on front of ps2) and the 6 pin end of the cords all 4 plugged into an i-link hub. this makes for awesome gaming since there is so much you can do. halo may have 16 player support in its x box system link, but everybody has exactly if not a little different person to play as!!! BORING!!! ac games let you customize. that customize-ability combined with linking ps2, although 4 player maximum (still alot) is much more fun than any fps. speaking of fps, silent line also has the cockpit view. silent line forever!!! peace out.

Definitly worth buying!!

This game is REALLY GOOD!This game has several new features like creating your own arena or creating a you (and yes a you)that experience's as you experience, hard to explain you have to get it to understand.Over 200 new part to customize. And plus if you have the game ARMORED CORE 3 you can load your old AC's(Robots) to this game that would make everything a whole lot easier. There are also destructable weapons this making you're opponent vunerable and easier to kill.So If you have the money buy this game and AC3 if you dont have the game.

An ok game

This game is sort of pointless since you cant get past the 4th level but if your into AI and putting combat machines togher this is the game for you!!! The thing I liked about it was its storyline yet the weird thing is the weopons follow some of the other earlyer Armored Core games.

Inexcusably bad controls and load times ruin it.

This game has nice graphics and very cool mech designs.Creating your own custom mech is especially neat.Unfortunitly the controls and load times in this game are crap!

For controls:Instead of useing the left analog stick for moving/strafeing and useing the right analog stick for looking/aiming,the way it is in other mech games and FPS shooters. In Armored Core the left analog stick is used to move, the right analog stick goes tottally unused and you must press shoulder buttons just to look/aim up or down.Having to press shoulder buttons just to aim up or down is absurd. While the missions themselves are challeging on their own,the bad controls make the game 7-10 times harder! Almost unplayable at times.

The Load times:While the load times themselves are'nt THAT bad, unfortunitly its the style in which the game loads which is terribley frustrating. For example in the arena battles if you lose a fight and wish to replay it,instead of instantly begining the match, the game feels the need to load the whole thing up again! Hello the match is already loaded! Just restart it!!!! The mission levels are even worse. After loseing you don't have the option to instantly restart, instead the game sends you all the way back to the menu screen and you have to re-select the mission, skip the briefing and wait for the mission to load....ALL....OVER....AGAIN!

You'd think with the way the load times are a bit high, that the developers would have taken the time to make things as convienent as possible. There is no excuse for such sloppy programing.

Overall the horrible controls and terrible loading completly ruin this game and make for quite a frustrateing experience.Somehow i also get the feeling that the makers of this game don't want you to play it either.

A Fun and Frustrating Game

I was really looking forward to owning Silent Line: Armored Core but was a little let down after playing through the first couple of missions.

If you're the type who likes big bad mechs with plenty of customization options, this may game will be of interest to you. If you only have a passing interest in this genre (as I do) then this game may frustrate you too much to enjoy.

Several of the missions are EXTREMELY difficult and MUCH practice is needed which often involves playing the same mission over and over.

The graphics are ok as is the sound but the gameplay is a little on the clumsy side.

As I hinted at above, this game's real strong point is in the customization options. It's really alot of fun putting together you mech from a large variety of parts including arms, legs, heads, cores, weapons, back units, radiators, boosters, etc... Then of course you have to choose on a color scheme which is also quite fun.

All in all this game is alright but I wouldn't go forking out the cash for this title if you're not a big fan of big robots.

Best Mech game EVER

Armored Core 3 Silent line kept me awake from 3:30 pm when I bought it to 2:33 AM the next day.I can't out down the controller! The game goes on and on with missions, bonus parts, arena fights, and customization! My mech is #1 in arena, extended arena, and I have 183 parts! I recommend ANY mech fan to buy this game!

This is the very best yet!

This game is really GOOD!!They put tons of new stuff in this game like for instance creating a arena and creating yourself and I do mean yourself that experiences as you do.They also have destructable weapons to destroy from your enemies and make it into your own advantage. Also there are over 200 new parts to customize.Highly recommend you get this game if you're a mech fan or not.You can also load your ARMORED CORE 3 AC'S(Robots)into Silent line which would make the game a whole lot easier and hey I did it,but of course only if you got ARMORED CORE 3,so if you still have some money to spend buy it.

Awesome!!

This game is pure fun!The graphics are great! You can costomize your AC with hundreds of items.Of course you have to earn them all .The audio is great! The music is good for this type of game. But the maine reason I love this game so much is the game play.It has a multiplayer mode were you can blast your big bro's u know what-that you probably couldn't do in real life-.I hope this review was funny but was still helpful.Go out and get SLAC now!Go on get!!
