I really liked the versatility of this game. You can create your own player(s) to play in a world wide tournament against professional players. As you progress, your player(s) earn points which you distribute to enhance their attributes. Definitely addicting!

For the miniscule number of volleyball games found on any system (this is the only one for PSX), Powerspike Pro Beach Volleyball tops most. The game's controls can be a bit tricky at first, but should be no problem after a match or two. I loved the great selection of both actual pro VB players (male and female) and venues. Timing also takes some getting used to, but once you get into a rythm you can really ram the ball down the opponent's throat. This game can be ridiculously addicting at times.
Good gameplay!

I think it's the only one volley ball game for psx console, and it's great too. It took sometime to master the gameplay. Nice graphics and sound. Rent it before you buy it.

If you love volleyball, then you'll like this game. You get to pick your own 2 person team out of tons of famous pro volleyball players, both male and female (like Gaby Reese), and play in tournaments on beaches all over the world. There's a steep learning curve- it takes a while to learn how to time passes and spikes, but after a few games everything gets easier and actually pretty addicting. Considering that there are hardly any volleyball games out (and this is the only one for the Playstation), Power Spike Pro is successful as a volleyball game with all-around good gameplay, graphics, control controls and action.
