Streak:Hoverboard Racing.........

I'd like to mention that Streak came about when 989 Studios decided to take back the Twisted Metal & Jet Moto license from Developer Singletrac and decided to make their own versions of those games. Again, as in my previous review of Critical Depth; I'd like to point out that I, like many others, was a huge Singletrac supporter back in the day. Yet, when they created new games for GT Interactive in the vein of their old licenses, that's when I think Singletrac did some of their best work. It was then they breathed new life into some of their older ideas.

Another such case is Streak:Hoverboard Racing. The idea in this game is to command hoverboards, doing tricks and racing yet still make it in to first place. From the title you'd guess it is something like a skateboarding game or something like Wipeout yet it is neither. It plays like Jet Moto but you are more flexible in your movements & can achieve faster speed by pulling off stunts. Your cast is a group of young alternative lifestyle males & females who race through more than a dozen of levels(my favorite being Barnum's Alley) to be number one.

If you're into racing, Jet Moto, and you can play PS1 games on your current system, give this game a try. If not, push Sony's online store to bring back this classic to your PSP or PS3. It's still addictive after all this time.
