The game is not perfect but very fun to play. It's pretty realistic and the graphics is great for the wii. It has excellent entertainment value. IT a little difficult for beginners but great for middle tier gamers. Best tennis game for the wii.
Greatly disappointed

This game is greatly disappointing. The primary problem I had was that you have to play with the numchuck in your left hand, which makes you feel like playing tennis with a 2 foot rope tied between your two hands. As a result, the swings are not natural and your balance during play is nothing like real tennis. Maybe it would be more natural for people who hit both two handed back-hands and fore-hands where your left and right hands are allways close together. Having to control your character's running motion and the direction of the ball via your left thumb on the numbchuck expounds the bizare unnatural feeling. The game requires you to hold the controler in your right hand also in a strange manner with your index finger against the trigger button, and worse than the normal way to hold the controler in other games which is more like a tennis handshake type grip. i could only take this for about 15 minutes after which I smashed my elbow into a light while trying to time the serve swing with both my arms in the air. I won't play the game again. A big waste of money.

I very much enjoy the simple WII version of Tennis, and so thought the same mechanics would be used in Top Spin 3, with maybe just different courts and one on one play. I was sad, when I discovered that the nunchuck was required, and angry at the awkward control scheme. Waste of money...absolutely no enjoyment value, for me, on this game.
To me, the genius of the WII platform is the simple, interactive nature of it. They've left simple behind, with this one...
Lots of fun!

My husband and I were addicted to Wii Sports tennis, and we maxed out the game play on it. Top Spin 3 is alot of fun. The music is great. We are still learning how to play it and haven't figured out all of the shots yet. I highly recommend!

This game isn't the worst game but it's not amazing. The gameplay takes a bit to get used to and the way you hold the Wiimote is really awkward. It is a fun game with all the swinging motion to hit the ball and stuff. I do wish that you could create a player like Top Spin. I think since Microsoft gave it's rights to 2K Sports, the game just isn't as good. Would recommend if you like to play real tennis. This works if it's raining outside and you want to play tennis.
Its a good wii game

It's a not a Top Spin 3 for Wii, it's a good game of tennis for Wii. Is a mistake that 2K games promise it things for Wii version and finally the game dont have it.
But is a the best game of tennis for Wii of the moment.
Good Game

Top Spin 3 is quite intresting when you first play it because you always hit the ball out. It only took me a day to become really good at the game.
Threr are 3 reasons why this game anly gets 3 stars 1. No online play 2. No custom characters and 3. more tournamnets. One last thing this nothing like Wii Tennis.
No left hand option and other lacks

I didn't understand why 2K developed a so WII weak version of Top Spin on a console with so many opportunities to use motion control...
On Top Spin there is no career mode, no player creator, no left hand option, no online play.
We can only find some simulation. And that's all for this simple game.

I have played every top spin, had fun, played for hours and finished the game. But they seemed to have forgotten all the things that make top spin fun when they made this WII game. Custom characters, drop shots, overheads, lobs, slice, lots of characters to play, left handed support, levels, training tutorials... all missing (or working badly). I'm glad I just rented this one. It's going back early. One extra star for the music.

I wish they would have added some features common to existing tennis games like Top spin 2 and Virtua Tennis. Some of these features missing in this Wii version are: ability to create players, training/practice modes, and online play. I can't believe there is no Nadal in the player line-up.
Apart from these glaring limitations, the gameplay is actually fun and controls are quite good. If you have ever played real tennis, you will pick up the controls in five minutes. I have seen many people here complaining about controls being difficult, but it took me only a few minutes to get used to them, and afterwards they felt very intuitive and fun. Couple of people commented that volleying is virtually impossible, but I could volley with ease and couldn't understand what is so difficult about it? I can vouch for Wii controls being better since I have played top spin II and virtua tennis on XBox 360 as well.
