This is a very fun game. A little stressful as you run over things and go the wrong way but that is just because I have not mastered yet. We really enjoy this game. It is a lot of fun with multiple players.

Best Wii game ever!!!!!!!

I like this game because it has a lot of cool characters like of course: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and a whole lot more! I'm not a big "Mario fan" but this game is the best ever. I don't really prefer the Wii Wheel, but my brother is really good at it so that makes up for it.(I prefer the Wii remote and Nunchuck). So if you are a big racing fan and own a Wii, this is the game for you.

Mario Kart Wii VS. Mario Kart DS

I have this game for the Nintendo DS and for the Wii. Personally I think that the Nintendo DS Mario Kart is better. When you play balloon battle, you do not have to play as a team and you can blow up as many balloons as you like. Also, the wheel did not help, its a waste of money from my point of view. The one thing I found interesting in this game is the fact that you can use a motorcycle, however in the Nintendo DS version of the game you can choose a wider variety of cars. Overall I discourage anyone from buying this game.

Just as you remember it, but better. Online racing is fairly flawless given a good wireless connection. Highly recommended.

Plain and simple - the Nintendo Wii is amazing, as are the games that are developed by Nintendo! This Wii Wheel is a load of fun and one that is not easily mastered, thereby providing hours of fun - bringing the family together to challenge each other on the course! Another thing I found great is that users can use the old GC controllers as well, so it's not necessary to have a wheel for everyone (though it really does make for a more realistic experience 'steering' through the course!) We've never once regretted any purchase of Nintendo products...and the trend lives on!

My daughter loves it!!

I purchased this game for my 10 year old daughter. She spends hours playing it at night!! Even I get on there and race against her! It is very easy to play and get the concept right away. Just grab the wheel and drive.. I would recommend this to any of my friends for their kids-or themselves. :)

We love this game!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really outstanding game.

I had never really got into Mario Kart (or racing games in general) before I played this but it quickly changed my mind. If you are a fan of the older games in the series, you will certainly enjoy this. Most of the course designs are top-notch (and the rest are at least a lot of fun). The selection of retro maps is also excellent, and it's clear that Nintendo didn't use up all the best retro maps in Mario Kart DS.

The replay depth of this game -- whether in unlocking new characters and vehicles in single-player mode, racing online against worldwide opponents or your friends, or competing for the fastest run in time trials -- will not leave you bored even if you play nothing else for months.

The included Wii Wheel works better than I'd expected, but not well enough to really consistently win races. For casual players it will certainly lower the barrier to entry, but it responds very slowly to turns and is almost unusable with manual drift. The wheel is definitely an improvement over simply tilting a naked remote, but if you play a lot you'll almost certainly find yourself using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk or a Wavebird controller.

Kids Love It

It's just another racing game for me, but my kids (8 & 5) love it and have only wanted to play it since we got it. Haven't had a chance to really get into the one-player aspects of the game since all we do is race and battle.

Graphics are typical of the Wii, controls are intuitive and easy to master.

decent...I guess

I had really high hopes for this game...just like everyone else out there I've played the earlier versions for hours on end. Throw in the wii wheel for better control and realism, and you have yourself the "perfect" mario kart game.

Not so much. The wii wheel is like some cheap toy out of a cereal box. The graphics are okay but not nearly what I would have thought for the wii system. After a few races I found myself switching out this game for some sweet surfing action GC style with Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer by way of the wavebird wireless controller. Now that is control.

I'm sure Nintendo will sell millions of this title--with such a powerful character/title behind it, how could they not? Problem is, the wii has a gimmicky control system in place with the wii "remote". Call it old school if you want, I call it "fun to play".
