This game is gonna rock! I guarenty this is gonna be a top seler. It has some old and some new weapons from dukes arsenal of pain. This is gonna be an all new version for the gba, so don't think it's an old version. You can look up and down and the bloody carcuses just stay there instead of dissapearing. It's definetly selling out so get yours quick when they come out!

So far so good

I hope this game Handheld version of Duke Nuckem is as good as the console versions. The good thing is it's in 2D Graphics. Go through the maze destroying little alien bugs just like Doom. The gameplay is pretty amazing. People who like there games from first person view like Doom will find this game amazing. But people who like there games from where you get to see the person on the screen completing mission objectives will not be so happy with this game.

Classic Duke

Looks and plays very similar to Duke3D for PC. The graphics are great for GBA, and the gameplay is smooth. Hands down the best FPS for GBA so far.

It is a very well made game and fun....at first. The levels get kinda of boring not as much variety as the other Duke Nukems. I don't think gameboy advance is quite ready for a 1st person shooter its just not all there.

the best first person shooter to date

I had high hopes when I heard this game was being ported to the GBA, and it hasn't let me down! Duke Nukem is way better than Ecks vs Sever or Doom for the gameboy when it comes to playability. The graphics aren't great, but gameplay and smoothness (frame rate) are both awesome, the story line is the same "kick a** and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum" type style.
The Artificial Intelligence could be better, its easy to "trick" the enemies by hiding around walls, taking quick shots at them, then ducking back around without ever being hurt, but you gotta remember its just a Gameboy.
This game has more than met my high expectations for this title.

With a stunningly solid group of first person shooters for the GBA (Doom, Ecks Versus Sever, the upcoming Medal of Honor: Underground), it was only a matter of time before the Duke stomped his way onto the GBA. And finally, it's time to once again hail to the king. Instead of porting the classic PC version of the game, we get an all original game (level wise) that still has Duke's familiar graphics (though not as pretty looking as expected, but still shockingly good). We go through levels like Area 51, Egypt, a shopping district in Austrailia, and an alien spaceship. Just about all of Duke's weapons are present, except for the Jetpack, but that isn't such a big deal. Gameplay is standard Duke Nukem fare, and we get to hear some of Duke's one liners as well, but in the end, most of the graphic violence and all of the sexual inuendos are gone, but it doesn't take away from the gameplay. Multiplayer mode is franticly fun, and ups the replay value. All in all, if you finished Doom and Ecks VS Sever, and were disappointed by Wolfenstein 3-D, then pick up the Duke, because right now, this is the best first person shooter on the GBA. Well, at least until Medal of Honor: Underground hits shelves anyway.

Sweet game.

Admittedly, I first bought a Gameboy Advance just to play FPS games on it(namely Doom) and, over the course of owning the system, I've collected quite a few FPS for it. Some absolutely awesome and some not worth mentioning. Yet, out of them all- I have to stand in agreement with the other reviewers here that say Duke Nukem Advance has to be the best FPS game on the GBA..period. Not that Doom, Wolfenstein 3-D or Ecks vs Sever weren't that good- they were for the time that they were released for the system...and I tip my hat to their developers on the tremendous jobs they did with them. But...Duke Nukem Advance pushed the envelope on innovation in the game. You're able to do things in DNA that you just can't do anywhere else. And, for that..it holds that crown as the best FPS on the handheld..at least, for now...anyways. The graphics are crisp and the control is smooth just like a FPS should be. If there were any gripes, it'd be trying to see your enemies in the distance. Yet, that is to be expected on a handheld. I must say I'm impressed with the job that was done on the game. It's definitely one worth adding to your collection.
As Duke says.."Hail to the King, Baby!"....
