how the game works

i thought playing the game would of been awsome but it ended up being short and sortive fun. i was able to get any dog, name it, train it walk it and pet it. i got to play my own games and have my own chores. it is ok for a kid the has a low attention span cus if you get bored or distracted you can repaly it anytime but for someone who wants to play a game for hours.. not a good idea. other then that i thought it was ok. my brother liked it. he 8yrs old.

I love this game! My friend let me borrow it for a day and it was so fun! Evewryone has to get it! But the part I don't like is that after three weeks your little doggie dies. That's so sad! So after that I wasnted to get it but it wasn't at walmart so I got CATS and I hate that one! You can't even see your pet! I want to return it and get a new game! So I want to get DOGS now.

The dog died

We got this game for my daughter 2 days ago who just loves dogs but can't have one because of allergies. She didn't play on it a whole lot, and already the dog "died" on her. She was so upset (very sensitive girl). I think it's a bit much for a child when the screen comes up with "your relationship with your dog is over" or something like that. This game could have been written a whole lot better.

My mom bought me both this and pocket dogs. She bought pocketdogs from amazon and this from toys r' us both for my birthday. I played this first because it looked so cute ! But then after a couple of hours i thought, wow this is such a waste of money. So then, i went and tried out pocket dogs! it was a blast. The graphics are cute and the dogs are adorable. i love the games and how you can buy stuff from your house and stuff! i reccomend pocket dogs a lot more then dogz. If you want a game that you won't get too bored of Pocket Dogz is the one.

great for people who dont have a ds!

i have a ds and nintendogs and this is a great game for people who dont own a ds! my cousin dosnt and he got this! its reall like nintendogs but its not for playing forever like nintendogs! its a mix of role play and i guess advanture with your dog lol! good game and its not copying!

This game is Great! Yeah you're dog dies after 3 weeks, but if you take good care of it you can keep it in always together mode. One thing I don't like is in Always Together Mode you can't take walks, but you have EVERYTHING!! This is a great game. Don't listen to the others, if you like virtual pets, get this game!!!!!!!!

I really liked this title. It lets you do what you can in nintendogs, but without the nintendo ds. I do not own a nintendo ds, so I cannot play nintendogs.

I was excited to finally get the game of my dreams. Well, it's not any more! For starters, they don't have very good dog breeds. Only 18! Each day is around 5 min. long. Your day is like this : you get up, are FORCED to eat breakfast , are FORCED to go to school , and you are FORCED to eat dinner, The lines the parents say are ALWAYS the same and are TACKY!!!! A friend of mine agrees that the game is a rip-off! You only have the dog for 3 weeks, and the weeks go by quickly. PLEASE ! Take my advice. Don't buy this game. If I would have known , I wouldn't have bought it!!!!

Terrible game for small children

I will probably end up selling this game because I think it is terrible for small kids. My [...] son played it all day and "raised" his puppy. The dog ended up dying!!!! It doesn't mention that anywhere in the instructions for the game. Think carefully before buying this for a child.
