Not worth it

I bought this game for my son after seeing the ads on TV for it in conjunction with the movie. It's a series of races to get trophies for. It's not a file game either so once he beats it, that's it. He can rerace but no trophies are available. This game's better for PlayStation, GameCube & Xbox. We'll be getting the GameCube in a few months & I plan to buy the Cars game for it. If you want this game for the Gameboy Advance, you're wasting your money. Get a different game for your child.

My son LOVED the Cars movie and begged for the Cars GBA game for his birthday. Sadly, it was a huge dissapointment for him. he is 9 years old, loves games like Pokemon, soccer and racing but when he got this game he finished it within two days and never touched it again. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I suggest renting this game instead of investing money on buying it.

We just bought this game and want to warn others that the set up is just awful. You're guiding cars from the side, rather than from the back, so you can't see what direction to turn. My 9 year old who is fairly adept can't stand it. He also mentioned that he watched the advertisements for the Game Cube version of Cars, and it showed the race occurring from behind, so your POV is of the road ahead of you. So, I don't know what happened, but the Gameboy Advance SP game is an exercise in frustration for one child .... (He advised 2 stars for overall just because the subject was racing ... but I think the fun factor was in teh zero range based on his narrow-eyed demand of Can we return it?)

it is sooo dumb!! all they do is race. i thought it was going to be like the movie like trying to find back to the road or something but it is just racing. the graphics are terrible. save your 30 bucks and buy another game!!!

I liked the movie a lot, but this game it's out of the pack... is not the best out there.

I bought this game for my nephew. We enjoy although i wish there was more than one save slot so both of us can play. It plays like a classic but i guess thats why its on the gameboy. Fun and clean for my 6 year old nephew. We wish we could play like the tow truck but Lightning and the other cars are cool. It plays easy for me but challenging for a kid.

My 5 year old loves playing this game. He comes in last place every time, but he's still enjoying it. My husband had to "win" a few times so that it would allow him more options of cars/colors, but it has kept his attention.

Better for older kids

I originally purchased this game for my 4 year old for his birthday to go along with his new gameboy (he wants to be just like his big brother). He loved the Cars movie, so naturally he wanted the game too. I found that the game was a little advanced... he had to win races to open other racetracks..too much patience required for a 4 yr old. However, my 7 year old helped him out and opened all these new tracks by winning a few races for him (he enjoyed the game). Now both boys enjoy trying out the tracks.

One of the best games of the year!!!

This games Cars is a very fun game to play over and over again. There are lots of diffenent races to race in with a lot of diffenernt style race tracks. The stirring in the game is very easy for anybody of any age to get used to...I recommend getting this game for a Birthday, Christmas gift, or just to take with ya on the road....
