A neat addition to the series

If you haven't played the BANJO KAZOOIE games on N64 I encourage it. However, this is a nice addition to the series. A few people have stated that a players guide is needed, I don't agree. First of all, I don't use them ever for any game. Second of all, If you can read you will have little trouble with this game. If you can't read, a players guide will do you no good anyway. People ages 8 and up will find that a little searching and puzzle solving is all it takes. Stop taking the fun out of your gameplay with player guides. Okay, some are also saying that this is a 3-D game, it isn't. It's more of a view from above type game. Yes, Banjo moves in 3-D, but the environments do not. Bottomline.. if you are a fan of the series you may enjoy this addition. Also it looks pretty good on a larger screen, this is if you are playing through the Gameboy Player as I am.

You really need a players guide

I really enjoy this game. I've played all the other Banjo-Kazooie games, so I thought this would be just as great as the preceeding games (for which I have been able to obtain a players guide). But I am quite frustrated right now. I have looked everywhere for a guide, but cannot find one--now it looks as though there is not one written! I really want to play the game, but I am stumped. Please-- get something written.

Great Addition for Fans of the Series

Does a great job of recreating this 3D platforming series on a portable. Rare should be commended for including all the gameplay, moves & music of it more powerful console brother. The game is quite a bit easier then previous versions (disregard last post!), but does become challenging towards the end. You'll also enjoy unique transformations and mini-games in this one and a save anytime feature. Keep in mind that this takes about 6-8 hours to finish and isometric perspective can sometimes be confusing. Highly Recommended.

Okay , if you see that one of these clowns writing Banjo stinks,DON"T listen to them. This game is one of the best game out of all three Banjo games.I mean Banjo-Kazooie(N64)was a classic, So was Banjo-Tooie (for N64). I'll admit,I never played Banjo-Kazooie (yet), all I saw was a peek that my friends let me play for 2 minutes,I didn't want to stop! I'm telling you (me the "The Great One" Ramos, you know who I'am Edison!)That the ERA of Banjo-Kazooie is far from over! (oh, Let's just that I'm 12)

overall very good, but not perfect

I loved the series for N64, so I decided to try this Gameboy one. I think it's great!! Even though the levels aren't as good as some of the ones on N64, it's still good for [the money]. I still love Grunty's ryming, and it's great on this game. If you liked the Banjo Kazooie games on theN64, I think you might want to give this game a try.

I think that this is the best game for Game Boy Advance. The graphics are wonderful. The story plot take right after the last game. You get the same attacks except you can't fly for a long time the in "Banjo Tooie." It features most of the same characters like Kazooie, Mumbo Jumbo, and jinjos.

You need a players guide

I bought this game a couple of weeks ago, and it is very difficult. It is more than what I expected. I can get through the first level, but after that, I can't get much further. I have tried everything to get past the second level, but it is quite frustrating. I hope that Nintendo releases a players guide for this game soon because that would really help out alot. I got through the first Banjo-Kazooie on N64 with help from a players guide, but you need one for this game. Unless Nintendo releases a players guide, I will not be able to figure this game out.

Wasteful, Mindless Gaming

Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is one of the most absurd Game Boy Games I have ever seen. The plot: Banjo (the bear) has just had his best friend and buddy Kazooie (the bird) taken captive by the evil witch Gruntilda, who has magically re-arisen from who knows where. So Banjo has to go on a journey to rescue Kazooie and stop Gruntilda and her wicked ways once and for all. Just to get a perspective of how absurd this game really is, imagine uber-twangy hillbilly/banjo music and a bunch of characters by the names of Bosseye, Klungo, Jinjo, and Mumbo Jumbo. Then imagine all of them talking in this absurd Darth Vader-like jibberish that, combined with the nonstop twangy banjo music, when being played in the back seat of a car on a long, long trip, will make everyone in the front seat turn around out of impatience and irratation with bulging eyeballs and exclaim, "What IS that?"
Indeed, insane and mindless, Banjo Kazooie will satisfy 2 types of people: (1) The kid at heart who's really a 40 something-year old man that still watches Looney Tunes, wears colorful pajamas and Hawaiian shorts, and thinks Pacman is one of the greatest inventions of all time or (2) the average American kid today that would die to play Nintendo all day, delights in silly, silly games such as this one, and who still cracks and laughs at potty jokes in their spare time.
