This game is definately not worth 50 bucks. The controls are terrible. The game itself becomes boring and repetitive very quickly. At first the blood and guts (coins?) looks cool but without fun gameplay even that gets tired. I expected so much more than this.
Gran Theft Auto Wii? Not Exactly..

This Game is the closest thing your going to get to Grand Theft Auto.
Yes, it is true you can walk around/drive giant motor bikes and not damage anything, only fall off your bike) But there isn't much to do. The Game plays very linear and repeative Killing higher ranked people. The Game has lots of blood and gore and the animation is okay. The controls take 10 minutes to get used to and your off to killing anyone you can kill in your sights. The Game Goes like this
Play a Lot of mini games/side missions to earn cash
Pay and use all of your money
Kill someone
Repeat
The three best things
The Bike
The Killing
The Cat
Those are my thoughts about No More Heros
not good, not even close!

OK - this game is bad, real bad...as in not well made. The graphics are pretty nasty, yes "artistic" is one word, but the overall effect is that these guys were on a slim budget. Speaking of which, the budget must have been really small considering the amount of bugs this game has in it. Just try running around the city and messing with the physics of the main character and/or bike. I once got the bike caught on a curb, and seeing through walls...no problem...just walk up, move the camera, and x-ray vision thou shalt have! Bad level design, nothing to do in the city, just run...zzzzz. This game isn't even close to as interactive as GTA and that's not saying much, considering GTA could have been alot more interactive...but that's another story. Put it this way, if you run into someone with your bike, you get a gameboy era 'thud' sound and your bike stops, nothing happens to the pedestrian...nothing...they are solid like statue...or tree...or whatever...this sucks!
So whats good about this game...well the story is ok...just buthead humor...I guess its good if your entering your teens!? The concept is not new, the retro menus and sound effects are cool, but blocky and rushed looking. Ahhh....the control system....yes...thats why this game is supposed to be good...well again...not really...just repeatedly hit the A button over and over and over...oh yea you can adjust a high or low hit too...wow cool:-( Seriously - you can rent this game with no commitment. Defintely not one to keep in your collection. Sorry, but I really don't need anymore heroes.
Hope this review was helpful to you...save your bucks for the games that really deserve your hard earned dollars.
Both me and xplay like this wii game.

Now when you think of Nintendo, you think of family fun games that have no blood or lets just say an "m" rated title.Suda-51 had a great vision for this game and it is just flat out funny. You play as Travis Touchdown out to become the #1 assassin out there in Santa Destroy,California.I wont blurge the whole story. But the controls, the characters, and the story is just great. If you are tired of Mario and you want to play something more mature. You have got to check this game out.Rent it or buy it,I highly recomended you play it,and so does xplay.
Great game

This is a classic button-masher with the added fun of moving the controller to either side as you mash.

If you are considering this title, do yourself a favor and purchase it. This is among the most unique titles available on any console; it is chock-full of style and features fun, intuitive gameplay. With the newly reduced price there is no reason why this gem should not be in your library.
One of the best Wii games yet

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I read the review for it before I bought it and was very pleased with how much fun it was to play. The only mistake I made was playing it on the easy level first because the game seemed to go by too fast. I recommend trying it on the Mid level difficulty first but overall one of the best games for Wii.
Good game, fun to play. Not great

I'd say this game is fun to play for a while. I really enjoyed the boss battles and some of the side jobs. However I hated the idea of having a GTA-like city where you can go everywhere but do nothing. Come on, what's the whole point?? The plot is ok, a little strange but this game is supposed to be like this. Graphics are good, but only for the characters, the background is just horribly lame. I thought it was a joke on the very first level. The way you kill enemies in a rapid button mashing reminds me of arcades and I liked it. It is not a bad game, but could have been better, the plot is too linear and there is not much to do around town in a bike that by the way sucks how it handles.
I gave it a 4 star because I got the game for only $20, I guess the store messed up because it is obviously a $50 game. So, if you would like to try it I recommend that you rent it first and if you really like it, make your purchase

There have been many Wii games that I have been enjoying over my time with the system, and most of the them have been Nintendo made. That is, in fact the reason as to why I wanted a Wii in the first place, I love all things Nintendo. There haven't been many strong games coming in from third parties for the Wii with the exception of Capcom giving us Zack and Wiki and RE4. Ubisoft is ready to change that with their release of No More Heroes, think of it as Kill Bill the video game.
You play as Travis Touchdown, best name ever I might add, who wields a beam katana (light saber) as he tries make his way up the ranked assassins list to become number one. Each boss battle is a ranked assassin and each is a wilder character than the last, making for some interesting cut scene banter, and fighting. The game is oozing style from all over, it has a very retro feel but manages to feel new and refreshing all the same. After each Boss fight you'll come to a high score screen just like an old school arcade game, showing you moving up the assassins ladder. It acts as a hack and slash game for the boss fights, but in between you'll be traveling around the open city, doing mindless jobs to earn money for the next fight. The in between stuff may not be as fun as the boss battles, but they are still pretty enjoyable.
The game is at its best when you get enough money for a fight, go to the location, battle through hundreds of enemies with motion control and wrestling moves (the creator is a huge wrestling fan), finally making your way to a wacky boss fight. It's definitely one of the best games I've played on Wii. It's just as bright and colorful as Super Paper Mario and is also once of the bloodiest games I've ever played (again think Kill Bill style decapitations). Every finishing move you do will leave you very satisfied and wanting more and more. I'm currently the 7th ranked assassin in Santa Destroy and should be at the top in know time at the rate I'm playing. I'd definitely pick this up if you have a Wii, it's one of the most unique games you'll ever play.
Good concept.

No More Heroes is an interesting game. You are Travis Touchdown, a rising assasin working for the United States Assasination Association, living in Santa Destroy. It is a sandbox game much like Grand Theft Auto with an cell shaded art style and a strong emphasis on the missions rather than the open world. The open world is quite bland and lifeless. There isn't much to do or see while riding on your motorcycle from mission to mission. The missions, however, are very fun and exciting. The boss fights are carefully planned out and done very well.
Pros- Boss Fights, Art Style, Tons of character customization
Cons- Boring world, Many glitches, Bad hit detection while driving, mandatory mini games that are more a hassle than fun.
Warning to parents: This game is the most mature game on the market. Blood literally explodes out of killed enemies covering your entire view. There is are tons of sexual references and foul language (every word in the book) frequent. This game really isn't for any children.
