My wife just loves this game. She usually hates all video games but seems to like this one. Graphics are great and there are alot more fish to catch than the Bass fishing game. The best thing is it leaves me free to watch football on Sat. and Sun.

You might scoff at the thought of fishing on your Dreamcast, but it really is a good way to pass the time. Of course you must remember that it is a fishing game. Don't expect an engrossing story because you won't get it. What you will get is a game that can be picked up by anybody, and played with little skill or effort.

There are tons of fish (including at least one type of shark). You can get all manner of things to put in your aquarium (including fish which is a nice thing to have in an aquarium).

I have never played this game using the Dreamcast Fishing Rod Controller, but it can be played very easily just with the regular Dreamcast controller.

All in all, this is a good game to play if you don't want to get into some major RPG or adventure game. It's a good buy!

Tired of trying hoplessly to catch a fish in that old lake?Forget the minnows and get out your dreamcast.What should you play?Sega marine fishing of course!1000000000000 times the exitment of sega bass fishing,you can catch more than just bass here-you can catch tiny skip jack tunas,spine shivering hammerheads,and the big one of all big ones,the prize catch of all prize catches, the blue marlin!I play it everyday after school.Plus,there are 5 different areas,a free fishing mode,and you can even enter a tournament!I give it a 2 thumbs up!

We own all four of the Dreamcast fishing games, (Reel Fishing Wild, Bass Fishing 1 & 2, Sega Marine Fishing) and this is by far the best. The variety of fish and lures can't be beat. With or withour the fishing controller this game is a must for the Dreamcast. My six year old has a blast with it as well. No gore or blood, (unless the spear that they use to pull in the bigger fish disturbs you) and a good game for kids.

fun at first ,really slows down

When i first got this game i thought it was fun.After an hour or two,it began to get really boring.This is probibly do to the fact that it is really easy,really really easy.Also it becomes really repetitive.

Excellent game at first, but deteriorates within days.

This winter, I have been really irritated that I couldn't go fishing because my boat was put away. My parents noticed that too, so they bought me this game with the fishing controller. The first weekend I played it, I was amazed as my craving for fishing went down. That Sunday, I unlocked the 2 secret levels and I caught the 3 secret fish. Next Sunday (today), I unlocked about 250 items and played it for 1 hour this weekend. The game is easily finished, and THERE IS NO FISHING COMPETITION MODE. That trait really makes me angry. In Sega Bass Fishing, the competition mode is really fun and challenging. This game deserves 3 stars because it's not horrible, yet it's not the best. ONLY PURCHASE THIS IF YOU LOVE FISHING. If you don't love fishing, you won't appreciate this game as much as 2 stars.

Sega's Marine World.

I own this game and I think it is pretty cool! I will say though at times it does get tiring and stressfull. I think that Sega did a good job on this. I first played SMF on a demo disk for about 3 hours and fell in love with it. I think you will need to play it with the fishing rod to appreciate it more. I think the graphics on this game are really rich and vibrarnt, most games by other systems don't have the same rich color and detail like Sega has in their games. I think that it will make a great addition to your Dreamcast collection. Sega has done it again!

THIS GAME IS SO FUN THAT I GOT MY BROTER ADDICTED TO IT. THE BIGGEST FISH THAT I CAUGHT WAS A 267LB. HAMMERHEAD SHARK. THE SECOND IS A 260LB.BLUE MARLIN. SO BELIEVE ME GET THIS GAME.

What's hot:
-It's a fishing adventure
-The minigames are so much fun
-Great graphics
-Looking at your beautiful customized aquarium

What's not:
-It's a very addictive fishing game
-Looking at the aquarium can become an addiction

What's strange:
-Where the heck is the fishing tounament?

The awards for:
-Best fish-The blue marlin and the hammerhead shark
-Best supporting fish-Mako shark
-Best stage-The one with the blue whale

The overall:
This is one game that is definitely worth buying

This game is booooooorrrring. My goodness is this game boring. If you're not asleep now, you will be once you've played this thing. I actually think that the talking "Billy Bass" (you know, the one in the commercials that sings) is a whole lot more entertaining than this.
