Suprisingly fun game!

I have to admit, this was my first fishing video game that I ever purchased and when I finally got around to playing it, I was suprised at how enjoyable SEGA BASS FISHING was! The game play is indeed addictive and this was also a suprise. I never thought a fishing game could be so much fun!

As for the game, it is about catching bass. That is pretty much the gist of it.You choose the lures and reel away! There is a practice mode, arcade mode, and a tournament mode which is really fun and competitive for a fishing game. The only thing I wanted was different species of freshwater fish in addition to all the bass. But bass fishing it is. SEGA MARINE FISHING is a great companion to this for those who like saltwater fishing.

SEGA BASS FISHING is a great game... I recommend this game!

I pumped so much money into the arcade version at ESPNzone. I was delighted to find out that there was a dreamcast version. The DC version is even more fun than the arcade version. FISH ON!

this game is o.k., the only problem is the only species of fish advalible to catch are bass, the fish are way easy to reel in and when the computer takes over from you to land the fish the rod looks very unrelistic. the good points are that the match fishing is very competitive, the bigger bass put up better fights and in practice mode big bags are easy to obtain. for the first 20 or so minutes the game plays really well and then the bigger bass seem to disapper and your left with pounders.when you progress higher up the match fishing scale whoah are some of the lures good, the popper, straight worm and [when fished near weeds or rocks]the rubber jig. overall i would say unless you adore bass lure fishing or a person who coarse fishes save your money for the marine version.

WHATS THE BIGGEST BASS YOU HAVE EVER CAUGHT ON THE GAME? MINES A 21LB 4OZ ON A PENCIL BAIT FISHED ON THE LODGE.

This is a great game! Catching a huge bass is tougher than it looks, and is very addictive! Getting all the lures and the areas (I still have a few of each to go) makes the game last even longer! The tournaments are well done, too!

Although I play on rare occasions, I think it is one of the best launch titles for Sega Dreamcast. I got it with the Fishing Controller as a Christmas present last year. A very good game. I usally make over 90 or more pouds when a round is over. (I am not joking) You basically have to concentrate on the large fish to do this. And to make sure it happens, when you are in Lake Crystaldew, If it is raining or cloudy, go to the falls area, go all the way to the right, cast your lure, (pencil bait or popper) and Attract and hook one out of several big fish. This is great during the later levels. And if you place first on every tournament, (every level is better) you get the Sonic the Hedgehog lure when you get to Master Classic. (or Professional, I don't know. Anyway, it's definitely worth the 20 bucks.

Bad game really bites

This game is horrible! I like fishing gfames, but this game just bites. You only can fish in a few areas, along the coast. You can't move your boat except sideways. You can't even move your character! You can only catch one type of fish, thats bass. The whole game is made frantic and fast paced, like an arcade game. That is what it is, a quick arcade game that get's boring FAST. The announcer is also very annoying, like "Turn the rod LEFT" and fast annoying music. You have to catch a certain number of fish in a time limit to even pass the level! Forget this game. Get Trophy Bass 3-D for computer instead.

For years I have been watching the kids play these games. This year we received the Sega Dreamcast and a few games. One time playing this game and I was hooked! It is fun and exciting for us especially since there is a pond in our back yard so this really gives us a look from their side. At least this way I get to catch, but don't have to clean.Everyone that has come over to visit us has ended up wanting to play this game and enjoying it very much. It's a lot of fun to watch as well.

This game rocks!

Fishing from your living room..aaah yeah. Definitely get the fishing controller it is well worth it. The graphics are great and your friends will love it! Once the season comes I will be ready!

Sega Bass fishing is the best game I have ever played! The graphics are unbelievable giving you in depth details of nature. You can actually hear the birds chirping and the crickets cricketing. The many different lakes, tournaments, and lures pull you in. After I played this game for the first time I have been hooked ever since! This is a must buy game.

What im basically trying to say is you dont have to like fishing to like this game. This game is fun no matter who you are. The graphics in this game are beutifully done, and the stages are just simply fantastic, they even add all kinds of debris all over the bottom of the lake like logs and rocks and even large metal barrels that look like they dumped by some chemical factory.(and i am not over exagerating anything). Some people might look at this game and see "Bass Fishing" and think "What kinda fishing game could be fun" well im telling you people its looking at you right in your face. So for those of you who arnt gonna get it just because they assume its gonna be a corny fishing game you guys are really gonna be missing out. Well, this is a must have game no matter what genre or types of games you are into.
