Great graphics, if you get the 'fishing pole' with the game it's generally useless as the numchuck controls the boat not the realing action, but hey it's cute. Game could use 'line tension' control, but I'm not that far into it (about to go pro) so maybe that comes up later. I'm also hoping for a fish finder. But it's great when you find'em.
Another Wii game that scores

If you love fishing you will really love this game. I think it was one of the better made games so far with the Wii.
I can really see them doing other ones in the Hooked! series - Deep sea fishing, Bass, Ice fishing, etc.
The only downgrade on this is putting the fishing pole together is a pain in the butt.
Very fun to play

I bought this game for my son, it was for his birthday. He really enjoys playing, and I do too. It is challenging though, just like real fishing. I haven't had any problems with the fishing pole. Some people have said that it has fallen apart, but I would rather play with the fishing pole.
Game is great, but...

The game is great, but the remote fishing controller is sort of awkward. It works and is able to see the tv IN THE GAME ONLY, not the wii menu but, like I said, is kind of awkward. The game is awesome. You can use classic lures like the popper-a, buzzbaits, etc. Reeling the fish in is a little tough though. You cannot set the drag and have to move the rod to adjust the tension. It taks a while to learn where the fish are in each setting. In this game it seems that all of the fish are picky about the lures which only makes this game more realistic. I would suggest this game to people who are serious about fishing and like realism in games. The graphics are a little iffy, but the overall game is worth the money.
it is okay

The controller is a waste. I could not use this at all. The game was okay - very poor graphics. Similar to many other reviews I have read. I would not recommend purchasing - rent it if you want to try it and this about all the time you will want to spend with it.

My husband is a fishing enthusist. He sits and plays this game for hours. You cast, just like in real fishing, hence the name of the product. The only draw back is the fishing rod is more for show than actual use.
Fun game to play and to watch!!

My husband and 12 year old love to play, and my 7 year old and I love to watch. Lots of fun. We did not have any of the problems we had read about with the fishing rod. We're able to use it with no problem, while others had written that they couldn't make the controller work while inserted into the rod.

Product arrived on time and in good condition. Seems to be a fun game but does have some bugs that need to be worked out. Gameplay sticks in some places.

This game is just OK up until you hook a fish then it becomes just another arcade game. You have to follow the screen prompts very quickly if you hope to land a fish and that is where it loses any similarity to actual fishing. I found the fishing rod to be bulky and unweildy as did my grandson. Had I seen a realistic review of this game beforehand I think I would have waited until it dropped in price a great deal.

I have not received this product as of this date, but I know my husband will not put it down once he gets it.
