I just bought this game and Smart Boys for my 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter. They just absolutely love this game. I watched them play the game and saw great activities like counting and drawing. As a parent worried about the games out on the market these days, I highly recommend this title for your children.

I bought this game for my two year old who was desperate to play video games like the older kids. She loves this game and would spend hours playing it I would let her. I was afraid I was going to have to play with her but she figured it out very quickly and plays all by herself. Her favorite it the paper doll game. She also likes the cat piano it still makes her laugh a month later. This game is best for young children, I think older kids would get bored very quickly.

I purchased this game for my 4 year old. She is always wanting to play my DS. She hasn't stopped playing it since she received it on Christmas. It is easy for her to understand. There's numerous games for her to pick from including coloring, matching, counting and dressing up. So glad I found it!

My 4 1/2 year old daughter got this for Christmas and it is by far her favorite game. She is able to do all the activities by herself and can navigate easily. It has areas to color, draw, and has many learning activities and games. A very well put together game.

My 4 year old daughter likes to sneak and play her big sister's Nintendo DS when she's at school. This is the ONLY game (we have around 20) that she can play without help. There's no reading required, and there are lots of activities (she loves the coloring) for preschoolers. Even my older daughter pulls this out to play every once in awhile. It's not a game with a storyline or goal, just a bunch of activities for younger kids.

Great for small children

This is a great game for young girls. My daughter has always loved her pixter and leapster since the age of two. Now that she turned 5 she wanted a nintendo ds for her Birthday. I had heard about this game from another Mom and I am glad that I bought it. I have also bought the Smart Boys version for my son. He has a DS that was passed down to him and this is the first game that he can play on his own without any help from his big sister or Mom. He is 3, and has enjoyed the leapster and pixter since around the age of 2. They cannot wait to play their games when we return home. If we are going on a long car trip (which we do often)they can play for a long time. I actually like that the music is either classical or soft lullaby music. Most video games do not have the most enjoyable background music when you are not the person playing the game. It has so many different features for her to play. Her favorite is creating the dolls. She gets to select the hair color, the length, how it is styled, what she wears etc.

My daughter is 6 and really enjoys this game. It is nice that it keeps her interest for an appropriate period of time, so she is not zoning out for hours on a video game. I would suggest for girls her age or younger.

My daughter is 4 1/2 and loves this game. She hasn't picked up video or computer games nearly as easily as my son but was instantly good at navigating it. Having said that she still took some time to get better at the matching game for instance. She still enjoys playing it and hasn't got bored yet. She loves playing virtual dress up with the girls. If you are looking for a game to get your daughter started this is perfect.

... then let them in on the action with this fun mini game collection geared for younger players. My three year old started playing this around her 3rd Birthday (it was one of her gifts) and she loved it, playing it for hours. Some uninformed family members were worried about her "wasting time" playing video games, but in reality, it is an educational title.

The mini games are varied and fun, including a "feed the hamster" pop a mole type game, a coloring section where you can color in coloring pages or freestyle draw like a simple paint program, there's matching games, musical such as a piano where you touch the piano keys on the screen, and a dress-up paper doll kind of game. The game rewards you doing well by animating the coloring pages when they are done, etc. There are more games than these, but those were the ones that held my daughter's interest the longest.

It's a fun title that is definitely for the 3-5 year age group. Children over that age are probably ready for more challenging titles and would be bored with the laidback, easy approach of this game. However, its perfect for the little one that wants to play DS like her bigger siblings (or like mom and dad).

On that note, the Smart Kid's Gameroom is a combination of both Boy and Girl "Smart" DS titles, and is even a better buy since you get almost twice as many games.
