I'm nine years old and this game is really fun. In this game you use your skills in cooking. Whoever reads this should buy this game because Cooking Mama 2 is the only game I really play!!!!
More of Mama - and that's not a bad thing!

I myself have only played for a few minutes but those few minutes were a blast.
On the other hand, my children had a sleepover where they played COOKING MAMA, both 1 and 2 ALL NIGHT LONG!! The game kept their attention, they helped each other and there were a lot of laughs. The game helps to learn to work more adeptly with the stylus and is fun.
Nice additions are enabling the player to change mama's outfits. This time, we can also hear Mama, my girls LOVE hearing the "even better than Mama!!", the ultimate compliment.
We still have loads to go on this and I suppose some people will get through it quickly and the replay value will just not be there but for the younger ones, there seems to be a LOT of replay value.
Working towards the rewards is enjoyable and an attainable goal for those little hands not quite as skilled with the stylus. While it seems that some games seem to be near impossible, the game here really does seem geared towards a younger crowd. I'm not saying that's a con. Additionally, just seeing the wide variety of recipes and what countries they are from can add a little learning to the mix as well.
Well done! (no pun intended).

My 10 year old daughter is crazy about this game. She loves putting together the recipes and making all the different foods. I think her favorite part is telling me how to play it!!! :-)

This game deserves more than 5 stars. You will not believe if u have cooking mama 1 that this game is from the same company! You only use about 3 technics from the 1 st game and the rest are new. When i got this i expected it to be like the old one. But I was speechless
In this game you can cut, dice, blend, mix and etc. and etc! But one problem was that u cant play at ur on speed. You are again timed. But I dont care this game is so good looking out from the timing. Well I hope this review helped. Trust me u will want this game.
My Kids love this game

I bought my daughter this game for her birthday. She also got one in the mail from her Uncle. So I gave my son the other one. My 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter love this game. I think they like it much more than the first one. They have not played the first one since they got this game. They won't put it down. I would say you have to buy it, its a lot of fun.
A wonderful game

My 7 year old daughter got this on Saturday from her grandparents and she loves playing with it. She has played with it all weekend; only taking food, bathroom and sleep breaks. The game has no faults that either my wife and I could find (We play it when she goes to bed). My daughter loves making different dishes and feels successful when cooking with Mama (she does give the fire/evil eyes if you mess up) and loves cooking for her friends. This is a great game for any child who loves to experience new dishes.
One of the BEST games YET!

If you love to cook then your going to love this game! It is just so amazing how you can use the DS pen to cut onions, cook dishes, and control everything you want to do to your food! This is a really fun game but sometimes it is hard (which is good because you want to have a challenge), not hard enough to take the fun out of it though and that is even better.
To do really good in the game and get high scores you have to do your cooking perfect. If it turns out perfect and you do it all exactly the way they want you to then you move up in the game. Some of the cooking is harder than others.
I have about 10 games for my DS and this is one of the ones I play the most. This one and Animal Crossing are my two favorites! They are both addictive and so much fun.
I am 23 years old so if your an adult wondering about this game, yes you will love it! The age totally doesn't matter!
BETTER THAN COOKING MAMA 1

Of course this game is better than the first one. Vastly improved graphics and cute melodies for every action. One disappointing factor, the character speaks broken English with a very heavy Japanese accent. It should've been dubbed with an American. Turn the volume down.
I luv cooking mama.

This is the coolest game ever. So after awhile, you get all the meals and can't exactly move on with anymore meals. That just means you have to get gold medals on each one! haha. It's great. The presents part in annoying though since anyone can easily get a star. =/ haha.
Even better than Mama!

My 5 year old can't get enough of this game and her older sister is always asking to borrow it. They love to "make" the recipes by cutting, slicing, stirring, etc the food. There is positive reinforcement whether they make a mistake trying the recipe on their own - or getting it right, in which case the game says, "Even better than Mama!" which my daughter loves to hear!
I bought this based on the Amazon reviewers and am not disappointed. It's a very positive, constructive game that the kids really enjoy. Gift it to the little chef in your life! :)
