I bought one for each of my two boys. It's a great game to keep them entertained on trips and functions they're not interested in. The DS is portable so they bring it with them whenever they think they are going to be "bored". Highly recommended!
Simply Awesome!!

Having played most of the Mario Party line, including the newest on Wii I was excited to play the DS version. It DID NOT disappoint. Even tho i very recently played the newest version, the DS version is a lot of fun. Single Player mode is fun, and gets you used to the minigames. Multiplayer, is ofcourse, what the game is really about. My Wife, who is not usually a big video game fan, couldn't put it down. I strongly suggest this for anyone, but especially people who have friends/family that they can do the multiplayer with.
Fun, especially with friends

I've played lots of the "main" Mario games, but this is my first time playing a Mario Party. It's great fun! And while most of the other Mario games get kind of lame when you go multiplayer, this one is even MORE fun to play with others, which you can do with just one game card.
Pros: Most of the features are available for DS download play with just one game card. This game is simple enough for kids to grasp, but fun enough for adults to want to finish. The game isn't difficult by any means, so if you want the arcade challenge you get from other Mario games, this probably isn't for you. Still, this gives you a sense of competitiveness absent from other Mario games, even when you're just playing against the computer. It also has great replay value, since it's never quite the same game twice. Several different modes of game play are available so that any player is sure to find one they like.
Cons: It would be nice if there were more boards available, since you get through the five included pretty quickly. That said, you still have to play each one several times before you get tired of it. The puzzles included in "puzzle mode" are also painfully dull and simple, so that mode has little value. Also, if you don't have someone else who has a DS that you can play this with, you'll probably get tired of it more quickly.
Bottom line: Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone of any age, particularly if you have someone you can play it with! My only genuine complaint about the game is that there's not enough of it!

My 7 yrs old son loves this Nintendo DS game over any of his other games, and he has about 7 others (including MarioKart and DiddyKong Racing). It's definitely a must have.
Worth It!!!!

This game is worth the money. Its a lot of fun. If you have played mario party games before it is just like those only new minigames, other classic games, and the use of the stylus and microphone. One of the best DS games I own at the moment.
Unfair Program

This game would be a lot of fun, except for the fact that the program is designed to intentionally screw you over. Being a Mario Party game much of the game is up to change. Where the stars fall, what number on the dice block you hit, things like that. But the program for the game always favors the computer on those chances. It always puts the stars right in front of the AI players. It always rolls a higher number for the AI players and leaves you in the dust. It's also off balance with the mini games. I've been playing MP games for a long time and have gotten quite good at the mini games. There was a duel mini game that I had played a few times and had gotten very good at and had beaten the computer everytime. But by "chance" I had to duel with the computer and lost all my stars when suddenly the AI player got really good and beat me without blinking. This happened right at the end of a game so I was SOL and had to start all over again. It's also dissapointing that there are no bonus stars. Traditionally when you complete a game, bonus stars are given for most coins, most mini games won, etc. This presented an oppourtunity for a player to still win through skill even if they weren't able to come up with enough stars on the board. But with that option gone, the game is more chance than ever, and like I said the program is written to favor the computer nine times out of ten. It's frustrating to say the least when your opponents all have seven stars and rolling ten every time and you don't have any and can't roll above a three. What a letdown. If you can handle being repeatedly beaten up by the computer then go ahead. Otherwise, save your money. I wish I had.

the Mario and Donkey/Ditty series games have always been a hit. Nintendo has always stayed true to these series. This is no exception. The kids will have a blast(and so may the adults)
Very Good!

Just as good as the others on Gamecube and better than Wii. If you like to party, get Mario Party!
