Awesome gift set!

This is the best deal if you want to get someone started on WoW as a gift for any occasion! I love the idea that it has 2 of the strategy guides and both sets of the game. I just wished they threw in an extra dungeon guide or pre-paid game card. :P

Battlechest is good value for your money

If you are thinking about starting World of Warcraft (WoW) then it won't be long before you will want the upgrade burning crusades so I recomend just getting the Battle chest because you will save money and get an additional two books. If you are unsure about playing the game you can always download the 10 day free trial software to see if you like the game but be warned that this is a huge game and will take a long time to download (>4 gig.

Useful especially for adding a new account for a family member.

I bought this for my son, since I had only bought him WoW without the expansion.
With the assumption that you've decided you want to play WoW, all the way through to lvl 70, this is the pack for you. You get WoW and expansion, which would cost 50 bucks if bought separately. You also get two strategy guides, but the strategy guide for the expansion (see my review for it here World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Official Strategy Guide (World of Warcraft)) is terribly lacking, so we're really looking at one valuable guide, one crappy guide. What you also get, and not even the box mentions this, is the game on DVD! Oh, how many times I've installed and reinstalled the original WoW on multiple computers at home and at my friends place, swapping disks. Well, no more! Unless you were lucky and bought the original Collector's edition World of Warcraft Collector's Edition and World Of Warcraft Burning Crusade Collector's Edition, you're stuck with 4 CDs each instead of 1 DVD.
Overall, I would buy (in fact, I did).

I got this after doing a free 10 day trial from Blizzard. After about 3-4 days of the trial I was pretty hooked and decided it was worth the money to get the full version of the game. (Very limited differences in the trial version so it's definitely worth testing out before you buy the full version.)

I'm not usually into long play games like this, but after seeing a bunch of different things about the game (including a very funny South Park episode) I decided to check into it a bit further.

I will say the game is much more fun if you can play with people you know, but you don't have to. I've found almost every person I've met in the game to be very helpful and understanding to new players so it makes it easy to get into the game and get what you want out of it.

I'd encourage people to definitely do the trial software and see how you like it, but I'm confident most people that play video games will find some portion of this entertaining.

This is the better online game what I'll played. I decided purchase this game before the 10 day trial, and I surprise with them, this game is LO MAXIMO!!!.

Even though I'd been hearing great things about this game for years from my friends, I avoided it. I knew full well if it was as great as they were saying I'd be hopelessly addicted. They were right and so was I.

I was big in the BBS and MUD world before the world wide web hit everyone's household. I was very much into playing, administrating and building MUDs. WoW's MMORPG is just the natural visual interfaced progression of that. I love it even if it does eat my free time. =)

Simply the best computer game ever made.

It is no coincidence that World Of Warcraft has won many prizes, like best game of the year. A must have for gamers, but beware for to be extremely highly addictive. Also if you are going to buy this game, be sure to get the expansion pack.

First a warning. *****THIS GAME IS SUPER ADDICTIVE***** You will not want to do anything else after you start playing.

This is probably one of the best, if not the best game I have ever played. I have not played on-line games before and this one is fantastic!!
Not too difficult to learn, but hard to master.

Battlechest is the way to go if you've tried the trial and are interested in WoW.You save money and get decent info about The Buring Crusade content.Until Wrath of the Litch King comes out,this is what you should be buying.

Now as an aside I don't approve of the way Blizzard handles many things,but they do have a stable game that doesn't do strange things like wipe out your OS(as another company has done,CCP.Don't buy into their junk.)

Try the trial first to see if you like the game.If you do buy this and upgrade your account.Try different realms at first until you find one suitable to your gameplay.Then have fun,because frankly that is what this game is all about...fun.

For the past couple of years there has not been a better gaming experience. The World of Warcraft Battlechest set is well worth the value. Hurry up and join before the Wrath of the Lich King launches.
