Soldier of Fortune is a game that is now showing its age, but it is definitely holding up well. The game was a widely controversial one because of the violence (gibs galore). You'll often find yourself dashing through the single player with the shotgun blowing the limbs off of your NPC enemies and watching the blood fly. Beheading them with one shot is also fun! For those who are squeamish (or have kids) there is a parental lock for this violence. Fortunately, SOF's multiplayer community is still thriving. There are servers up constantly with usually several players playing DM or the hugely popular capture the flag gametype. I love this game, and if you are looking for a game with a decent single player and a long-lasting multiplayer, this is it! It also is not very demanding of your PC for those who are casual gamers. A classic!
