I don't write reviews often but I just wanted to take a moment and submit a comment for this game cuz it is such a blast! It's the kind of game that makes you want to spend every spare second you have playing just to refine your skills to get better. First off let me just say 07 is my first moto gp game. I've never played 06 or any others so I can't make comparisons. The last motorcycle racing game I have played was Suzuki superbikes 2 from 2006 PS2 and had alot of fun with it but let me tell you there's a huge difference. This game is so much better in almost every aspect. I mean not everything is perfect in this game like the soundtrack isn't great but you can turn it off so it's not really an issue. The sound FX's however are phenomenal and truly lifelike. The sounds of other bikes off in the distance as your racing is awesome. Several times I actually thought the sound was coming from outside and someone was racing their own bike down the street. Thing is I don't even have surround sound. The graphics are really something special as well here. The attention to detail is awesome. for instance the rain on the camera lens feels like there's real rain on the faceplate of your helmet as your flying down the track, The shine off the pavement is amazing and so realistic. Some of the best graphics I've seen in ANY game. Oh and the best part is the speed of the bikes and the tilt of the camera how they actually make you feel like you really are speeding down the track on your own bike swerving side to side through the chicanes and turns and then racing down the straightway at 195 miles an hour. It's just a freakin awesome feeling!!! I mean you could spend hours just on the practice tracks just having fun perfecting your skills! The rookie season was pretty easy to get through but now I'm just starting my career on Pro and its getting pretty challenging. I can tell the next two difficulty levels won't be an easy task. There are also challenges in the game which are pretty difficult but help to perfect your riding skills. If your into motorcycles or racing games I definitely recommend this game. I can't understand all the crappy reviews from the magazines. If you check out any reviews from actual players it's 9's and 10's. Anyways thanks for a great game THQ looking forward to the next release although I don't see much to improve on here. Just a suggestion though how about some old school punk for the soundtrack next time round?
Quite disappointed

I'd say my disappointment in this game has more to do with my lack of patience than anything. I just don't think a game should have a several hour learning curve. The training and tutorial modes are good enough to get you up and running but there's no way you could just pick up this game for the first time having little or no experiance with MC racer games and do well.
The bikes are okay, the tracks are okay. Graphics are okay.
Makes me really miss the Panasonic 3DO. (Age specific joke there)
If you really want this game, I mean you REALLY want this game, go for it. But if you're on the fence, just rent it. It's worth a try, but I'll be trading it in.

Bought this game after playing the demo. At $[...] I think it was a good buy. The game play is somewhat challenging and gets much harder as you turn up the difficulty. As far as realism, I couldn't say for sure since I don't ride but it does get touch. Acceleration, front and rear brakes, leaning, tucking, etc.
If you like racing games like forza 2 you will probably like this, not an arcade game though, definitely a sim.
Excellent, definately better than '06!

I love the graphics and the fact that they let you jump straight to the Premiere bikes and not lock them out and make you work toward unlocking something you already paid for.
Full Throttle!!!

Have had this game for about a week now. So far I am having alot of fun with it. The challenges are great, and hard. I like the medal rating that goes along with the challenges, Gold, Silver & Bronze. Also, depending on what kind of medal you get on a challenge, you get to add points to your riders skills such as; cornering, braking, acceleration, & top speed. The graphics are real pretty, realistic. Physics are great. Crashes are almost too real. Feedback (vibration) through the controller is eerily realistic. Not only can you see yourself getting loose around a corner, you actually feel it also. When your reaching top speed on a long straightaway you can feel the speed wobble. Awesome. Tuning your bike is great & very important if you want to do well. If you gear too low, your going to get beat around a corner, too high & your gonna get passed like you were standing still. You can completly customize your bike & rider. I've had one other MOTOGP title w/ the XBox and only liked it. So far I love this installment on the 360.
great racing, poor graphics.

This game, like the rest of the motogp series is a great representation (as far as video games go) of what it is like to ride a motorcycle on a track. It very well demonstrates the need to become familiar with the individual courses (which are well done), and gives a somewhat accurate representation of the handling dynamics of a genuine track motorcycle (best offering yet). The game is realistic enough to show the glaring differences between a rider with track experience and one without.
However, the games graphics are poor. Compared to the newest car racing sims like the forza series, the motorcycle representations are laughable.
Although it is obvious that the developers have spent a lot of effort in representing the tracks accurately, it seems that is all they did. When I play a game like Project Gotham and am blasting towards a corner, I find it easy to consistently find my braking points, because there exists a fabulously detailed environment in which to pick and refine my brake markers. In MotoGp, there is little image detail on or off track to help you reference anything, including turning points, braking markers, or acceleration points. In a real world situation, for a device as unforgiving as a motorcycle, the lack of these details (cones, corner signage, paint markings, trees, signposts, etc...) would certainly cause crashes.
I really enjoy the game, and it is the best available for scooter nuts today. It has the greatest offering of the most fabulous tracks around the world to race on (of any of the racing genre) I am aware of. However, the game has not really progressed graphics-wise since its initial offerings, and compared to todays vehicle sims, looks like space invaders.
