A big fan of the old katamari games, I was shocked when I heard that the new one was coming out on Xbox 360, not PS3. (Which is great, since I don't have a PS#). The game takes advantage of the 360 in so many ways though - Xbox Live, Xbox Marketplace, achievements, and more. It looks great in HD, and is a great game so far offline and online.
We need more games like this!

Beautiful Katamari is one of those precious gems of a game that rarely come along. I know there have been other versions, but this one was my first. And the experience is top notch.
To put it simple, you roll a sticky ball around and collect stuff in order to create planets, the moon, and even a supergiant. The sticky ball can pick up bigger and bigger things as its size grows. It may sound kind of rediculous, but once you play it, you'll be hooked.
The game features some quirky Japanese flair. At first, it seems quite odd, but as you get into the game, you wouldn't want it any other way. Color, art and humor fill this game and it is done very well.
The gameplay is fantastic, fun, and addictive. The music is great, and many game developers should take note of how they use it in the game, as it just adds to the charm. Online is fun too, and it has a neat little social aspect to it.
I could probably go on and on about Beautiful Katamari, but I'll just leave it at this, buy the game, put away your thoughts of what a game should be (especially you hardcore gamers) and just have fun. Because isn't that why we play games in the first place?
Amazing fun for any age.

This game is very fun and pretty simple to play. The object is just to roll up a bunch of crap and get it to a certain size before the time runs out. Easy for anyone, fun and highly recommended. It's silly and I don't have to worry about getting blown up, eaten by a zombie, or shot at. My girlfriend who never plays video games, can't keep her hands off this one. Addicting for such a crazy little Japanese game. Graphics aren't state of the art but they don't have to be. Don't hesitate...go buy this game now.

Just seeing the looks on my peoples' faces when they saw this playing on the television made the game worth it. I'm not a big gamer, I really hate the first-person shooters my husband plays but this was a game we could play together. It really is beautiful.
If you think rolling a ball is without challenges, just wait until the King punshis you! I really scambled to get that katamari (clump in Japanese) as big as possible to avoid the King's verbal lashings.

My wife loves this game, I catch myself watching it and getting into it like the typical male does. She love it. I bet kids would too.
Fun and Addicting!

This game is super cute and challenging, and the music is pretty catchy too. It took me a little while to get the hang of things since I have not yet played the other versions in the Katamari series. Loved it, it is great both for kids and adults who are tired of hack and slash.

after a day of dealing with desperate adults who are mean to kids and hurt them this game is a wonderful fun mindless escape which requires only a moderate amount of dexterity. also it is pretty and filled with things that i don't know what they are; and that allows me to be even more mindless. :) love it.
Great Game

Katamari is a good series and this title allows you to play it on the xbox. For those of you who havent played previous titles picking this up will be a good thing. First off you will be able to enjoy a game that is unique and addictive. In the process you will be gaining points for your gamerscore, if you care about things like that. Overall it is very entertaining and easy to get into. You will find that the premise of rolling the ball around is much more fun than you think. Adding to the experience are the characters, the KING, being the most enjoyable. Only downside is that it is short and can be beaten very quick.

Beautiful Katamari is the only Katamari title available for next-gen consoles and luckily (for me at least) it's exclusively on the 360.
Graphics are HD sensory overload in the most wonderful, cohesive way you can possible imagine. Lots of cultural winks for those of us obsessed with Japan or familiar with their popular culture.
Level design is dope with plenty of places to explore and keep coming back for more~!
Its all-new soundtrack is worth the admission price alone. Tons of cameos from 80's J-Pop stars coupled with that really nice beat production that we've come to expect from the Katamari series.
Great intro for those of you who never played Katamari before and a great new addi(c)tion for anyone who's already played the series.
Get it. You won't regret it.
And that rhymed.
Great game, but it is over quick.

We knew for months before the release that there were levels designed for download. They are available in Japan now. Should be in America soon.
There are 4 dlc (downloadable content) levels from the start and are 2 dollars each I believe. A possible 7 total levels may come soon from what Japanese sites are saying.
Xbox.com has a list of the levels, what they consist of, and what their cost is. The date is still unknown.
I liked the soundtrack to this game a lot! There are several repeated songs (none of which are fun) from the previous games, but personally I love 5 of the new songs!
This game is indeed short! I beat the entire game (no online play) in one sitting on day one, and had all offline achievements (other than a couple like 50 hours of play, and 100% collection) within 3 days.
I do not like the scoring system at all! It was introduced in Me and My Katamari for the PSP. I do however LOVE to roll big katamaris!
This game allows for insanely huge katamaris on two levels as well. Level 12 (Shloss Kosmos) is probably the best katamari level in any of the games. Your goal is to roll a 10,000 km katamari to close the black hole. In the end, one can roll over 1.4 million km katamaris! It is so much fun and should be tried by any fan of the previous games.
It is sold for a bargin price, and worth more than that. Provided you are aware that a good gamer can finish it all up in a few days, I rec' this game.
