In 'Neighbours From Hell' you play Woody. You you must creep around your neighbour's house, performing tricks to annoy your neighbour, without getting caught.
To do this, you must creep around the house collecting objects, and then use these objects to set up traps on the neighbour.
For example: take a banana skin from the kitchen bin and place it on the floor of the kitchen, ready for the neighbour to slip on.
The house is presented as a cross section - similar to that of a dollshouse.
The game is in the style of a TV show - with each level being a different "episode". To succeed in a level, you must get a certain rating, which can be increased the more tricks you play. There is a time limit in each level.
Moving around the house is quite straight forward - simply click anywhere in the house and your character will walk there. Of course, there will be times when you'll need to tiptoe, for example so that you don't wake up the sleeping dog - and you can do this by right clicking.
I really like the graphics style in Neighbours From Hell, and the animation is very detailed, which work very well. I love the way the characters move through the doors, from one room to the next! You really have to see the game in action to appreciate the graphics.
There are 14 varied levels in 'Neighbours From Hell', across 3 "seasons". Each level has it's own theme. For example, there is an episode called "Birthday Surprises": it's the neighbour's birthday and he is celebrating with a birthday cake downstairs. Occasionally he will go downstairs to check for birthday cards in the letterbox. (So in this particular level, you can perform tricks in the kitchen while the neighbour is downstairs).
The levels get progressively harder, with more tricks to complete in less time. New rooms will be unlocked as the game progresses and there will be new obstacles to avoid (for example sleeping pets which mustn't be woken up). My favourite level has to be 'Barbecue Time': you can probably guess what happens when the neighbour puts rubbing alcohol on the barbecue (hint- it involves fire)!
The music in NFH is in a big band style and suits the game perfectly. The sound effects really bring it to life, with the addition of laughter when the neighbour gets tricked.
There is a nice sprinkle of humour in the game - some of the tricks made me laugh out loud! There is enough variety to maintain interest. The original game play, excellent graphics and humour should prove to be a lot of fun for players of all ages.
Order it today and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Got this game for Christmas and haven't stopped playing it. Nice game to play after a hard day at work. I found it to be fun and very entertaining and can't wait for the next one to come out. I love shooter games but this was a nice break for a while. I also agree that it is too short but I still feel it has good replay value.

This game in simple words represents my style of computer entertainment. As a married person in his fourth decade, this game is what I'd like to sit at with my wife at one side, my daughter at the other. The Whole family can gather together to have fun and laughs. No violance, no fiction, & no tough views.
Next week I'm starting with Neighbors from Hell 2. My big concern, which is also a question to everyone who reads this is: How to find similar lovely games?? If someone got something please email me at: samer@eng.uob.bh
Surprisingly fun and addicting!

I got this game at EB Games thinking it was going to be awful. I started playing it, and I actually liked it! The basic idea is that you are on a reality TV show, where the goal is to make your neighbor as mad as possible. In order to do that, you play tricks on him - like drawing all over his mom's portrait with a black marker, cutting his favorite chair in half, switching out his hard candy with bath beads, etc. When he finds out, he gets super mad! And if you manage to pull several tricks in a row, you get extra points. If you get caught, he beats you up pretty bad. :D
The game runs well, I never had any issues when I was installing or playing it. The only thing I didn't like about the game is that I beat it about 2 1/2 hours. There are only about a dozen scenarios to do, and each has a timer of about 5 minutes. Also, I would have liked to see more variety in tricks - by the last few scenarios I knew every single trick and it was just a matter of strategizing on what order I wanted to pull them off in to get the maximum amount of points.
Overall - decent game, but way too short. :)
Great fun, but short!

This is a rather simple, but also very funny game. The concept is great, and it will certainly keep you entertained for a (little) while. If you like to play practical jokes, then this is the game for you!
However, the game is also VERY short. You can probably play it through within a few hours (4 perhaps?). And there is little replay value. Still, it is good fun.
Gameplay itself is simple, but fits the whole concept perfectly. Point and click to move your character. Point and right-click to sneak. Point and click on something to pick it up, or to combine two items. Then, wait for the neighbor to fall into your traps and enjoy the great animations.
This is also a great game for people who aren't typical gamers and wouldn't pick up a first person shooter or a strategy game.
computer Hi-jinx at their best

This is a refreshing game, don't get me wrong. I like shoot em ups, and RTS games. But every once in awhile I just want to play something different. "Neighbrs From Hell" is overflowing with style. Everything from the graphics, to the animations to the music, really make it stand out. The concept behind the game is you hate your neighbor, and you have to pull pranks on him. All while it's being taped for Television. Your neighbor is somebody of a big Oaf. The game has absolutly zero A.I. Everything your neighbor does is scripted. You have to set traps for him, everything from the classic egg in the microwave, to switching his shaving creme with hair growing creme. The levels don't vary much, there are 3 levels, all 14 of the missions take place over one of the 3 stages. This game could have benefited from more levels, and longer game play. A decent gamer should be able to beat this game in 3 or so hours (if even that) They start out easy, but get harder. The controls are point and click, there are no puzzles, less you count figuring out what goes where. It couldn't be eaiser to jump right into and start playing it.
What kept me playing was the animation, the pranks (I love pranks) and just the general concept of the game. You get laughs based on the pranks you pull, the more you line up in a row, the more laughs you get. I found myself replaying levels to get 100% or to find different patterns to lay the smack down with my pranks. It's not voilence like you'll see in Jackass. It's very slap stick, Banana peel on the floor, soap bar in the bathroom, switch whipped cream with shaving creme. This game won't appeal to everyone. But for those of us with a mischivious side, it will be a good time, even if it is way too short. I recommend this game for anyone who has neighbors they dislike, or anyone who wants to play something that's out of the norm.
FUN, BUT FINISHED IN A FEW HOURS

This was a funny, entertaining game but easy to figure out and way too short.
The whole premise is to find objects to play tricks on the neighbor and ruin his day. Lots of fun but I wish it could go on longer.
Boring and repetative

This is THE most boring game. First it doesn't let you place objects in obvious places- you have to play the same ole level over and over again until you find out which item the GAME wants you to put where. Like you find a felt tip pen and you should be able to mark anywhere with it to make the neighbor mad right? Not in this game- you can only mark family portraits & on some pics it won't work either. It's set up in the old ancient "see 2 or 3 levels" all flat like a comic book page. The tutorial was worthless and it is hard to use. Once you figure out what item to use where- it's not worth the nieghbors reaction which is the same all the time anyways- he gets red in the face and steam pours out his ears- oh WOW, now doesn't that make you want to play the same level (from the beginning) 5 times to see? NO!!!
