Some people believe it was a mod that added content to the GTA:SA. but the mod wasnt a mod at all but unlocked content that was already in the game. Without the mod however there was no way to get the hidden scene. On the console version you have to use a gameshark or similar device.

scratched game

The game will not play properly, I understand it was used, but the seller said it was in great condition. There were two huge scratches that would be obvious to anyone selling this game. The game is awesome, but now I have to buy a new one, and thats not easy seeing as I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. Thanks alot.

Gangsters, gangstas, and "Grove Street" has arrived

I consider this game to be a masterpiece - everything involved; the gameplay, the weapons, the vehicles, everything. From the motorcycles to the Rustler airplane; from the jetpacks to the reference to Grand Theft Auto 3 / Vice City, it s all bravura.

Of course, there are a small number of effects I found flawed, and others I wish weren't involved altogether, but I've yet seen a game that's faultless; if you can list a game without one imperfection, beyond bordering perfection, I will swear fealty right now, and don't you dare say Halo.
For instance, I didn't care for the choice of haircuts you can get, nor the clothes you can buy. A few selections were decent, but nothing for every gamer. The assortments need gangster-related varieties, I know, but it can also have other choices, too, can't it?

What I ostracized a good number, though, was the bloody soundtrack. Even the talk-show radio stations weren't as great as, let's say, Chatter Box from GTA3, or VCPR in Vice City. I hope the next count to this series, if there is indeed one, will have more of an array of music chosen for every different player, rather than the rap stations that consumed this game.

Moving on, the gameplay was marvelous. The way you can look to the left or right with the R3 analog button; crouched while walking, etc., etc. My favorite factor in this game, though, would probably be how you can manually aim with a weapon, and even blow up the car by shooting the gas tank.
Also, the physical aspect of this game was great. "You need to eat to keep energy," and, "You eat too much and you'll get fat," and even how your muscles grow stronger. Stamina, too, Rockstar went all-out on this.

The voices for the characters, I noticed, were expanded in this game. James Woods, Samuel L. Jackson, not a bad cast. As a fan of both of the actors, I was relatively pleased you chose them. Their roles in the game matched them perfectly; a superb choice. And David Cross rocks.

Now comes in general satisfaction. Perceptibly, there are defects in this game; like I stated before, there is no one perfect game, but this one comes very, very close. Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas; this game is gigantic. There really isn't anything you can't do, save a few things, and that fact alone is worth buying this game. The nitro you can put in vehicles from the mod-shop is overwhelming, in addition to the rest.

The majority of this game, I express love for.

AO is stupid, the hot coffe mod for PC made it this way!

This game is for sure not for anyone below the age of 16 but AO is just stupid! The PC vertion of this game has a mod you can optionaly download by some nerd in a basement that lets more explicet things into the game with arnt there originaly! This game should be rated M witch it sure is but if you are buying this it isnt as bad as everyone says, take a look.

- major limb tearing violence

- major drug referance/useage *you never actualy see any illegal drugs except in a mission where you have to burn down a marijana feild for a hippy from SF*

- beautiful, and very very good representation of LA, SF, and LV!

- 100's of cars that all are diffrent and drive diffrently!

- dozens of boats/air craft/ motorcycles!

- dozens of huge songs including Micheal Jackson, Guns N' Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many many others! for every type of music fan out there!

- MAJOR MAJOR gang violence activity thats no diffrent from GTA Vice Citys gang/mob violence but in SA its alot more in the wide open and more into the story line!

If you let your child or if you can take watching scarface you can play VC with out getting offended.

If you let you child watch boys in the hoob then you can take SA in without getting offended.

If you are one of those parents who think your child/friend will pick up some of the violence and language from a video game you do not really want your kid playing SA for its non stop violence and, a new "feature", to the game is a ton of explicet language so watch it!

Over all dont get this game if you are offended easy or if you dont like major violence and explicet language DO NOT even think about GTA

But, if you like cars, guns, music, and comedy/serious story line! this game is right down your ally!

~NOTICE~this game was rerated AO~NOTICE~

San Andreas takes you on a journey through the heart of the Ghetto in LA. This game captures the very essence of life on the streets and is about as close as many of you will get to having a birds-eye view of the projects. The main character is a young thug named CJ, who returns to LA due to the death of his mother. CJ has to reclaim his hood and gain repect by doing missions etc. The game itself is very similar to the sims, in the sense that you actually live the life of the character ie...eating, working out, dating, shopping, gambling, etc. You can immerse yourself in this game and for some of us it brings back memories of our own hoods. San Andreas is a breath of fresh air and by far the best of the Grand Theft Auto series. However, this game was made for adults as it contains sex drugs and various uses of the N word. So if your not mature enough to handle the heavy violence and obrasive themes, then don't buy this game. Overall this is the best RPG out! So cop that ish!!

i got the original versions when it first came out and stayed in line for it 2 hours and happy to say it was worth it.
now the game is awesome the best yet the graphics are great as well is the story line.
as i said i have the the version rated m the version on the ps2 where the big issue was brought up on the ahem mini game which you can unlock with proper codes.
now this game is not for children only geared for adults and the ahem issue to me is not a problem and would wish people would leave the ahem issue alone and its just a game geared for adults.
the version i have is the first out and it was rated wrong shouldve been ao but was rated m.
now back to the game everything is in this game that any gta fan will love.
rockstar did a great job with everything from music down to the story line some of the missions are a pain but it is beatable and also this game has an awesome replayability everything is wide open after you beat it.
i commend rockstar for an excellent product and would hope that will keep creating games of this nature now also they need to create when they make the games two versions one for m so they can sell it anywhere and one for ao i rather play the ao version myself.
there are not alot of game companies out there willing to take a risk that rockstar does.
in short great game a must have for any gamer

Best Game of the Year

I think of myself as a hardcore gamer, so I think I would know if this game was fun. From the many accesories you use to make your character unique, to the casinos and horse races, to the wide accesible area that always leaves you wondering what else is out there, this game is great. The missions range from easy to downright insane. Plus, all the new cars and weaponry this is the best Grand Theft Auto to date. But, the rating of this game is there for a reason. I do not suggest you get this for your nephew or niece. But, I say someone about 15 could handle it.
Just think of all the areas you can access and the new things you can install on your ride. Personally, I fancy the GoKart and the racing bike. You may favor the land and water vehicle. Whatever ride you are into it's in this game.

Awesome game...yet another Rockstar masterpiece. What will they think of next?

My review is VERY late since its release, but I must give this a 5 as an overall review. I do keep in mind that this game had the 'coffee' bit in it for some rather fake "skin-flick" action, but who cares? The game was rated "M" in the first place, and any 16 year-old who hasn't seen skin REALLY hasn't gotten out of the house much. On second note any 16+ kid who can't differentiate between violence/profanity/etc. on a game and their real life either have not had the necessary guidance from their parents or they need some professional help as the dillusional world they perceive is definitely a problem.

As for the game's stature, I find the series to be quite a large step in the series; becoming quite a legendary interactive step up since the "bird's eye view" GTAs of yester-year. There are so many things to interact with in the game from the vast varieties of vehicles to the aircraft, the people, the controls (local police, "Feds," National Guard), to boats, missions, and mini-games. I find it hard to decide if I take a drive today, finish missions, toy with the game's physics, or the occasional cheat to flush out frustration at the end of a long day. I give two thumbs up to this series since GTA III as it offers so much to the player and between its physics, variety, graphics, and replay value, it--as well as the rest of the recent editions--has merit for a true PS classic!

I really have only minor complaints for the game; the graphics being limited on portrayal of distant objects...merely masked by fog, humidity, or the like. Most of this is covered well by adjustment of the screen and the weather/environmental setting, but is limited majorly by the PS2's video processing and/or overall processing speed. Maybe it's attributable to the graphics engine, but for what it is I would HIGHLY recommend everything from GTA III up, especially since there exists the triple-pack! Go for the gusto!
