WDL is such a cool game. You get to play stuff like capture the flag, just your in tanks blowing eachother up. The graphics arnt the best but the addictive game play makes up for it. If you have the money to add another game to your list you should get this one.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME ON PS2

I dont actually own the game, but i played it at friends house. The campaigns not really that great, but the rest is. This is my favorite multiplayer game except for Age of EMpires II on PC. It has awesome 3d levels, several tanks, and differnt ways to play, its sort of like Battle Tanx for 64 but better.
not too bad, but battle tanx is better

it's a ok game, but get Battle Tanx or Battle Tanx:Global Assault instead. They have a better plot and were kinda the preddessors to this game(which the batlle tanx series is also made by 3DO).
This is the best game ever. You have to buy this game

If you like playing fun multi-player games then this is a must have. My brother and I spend all day blowing each other up. The games graphics are realistic and my parents love this game too. This game is great for all ages and I suggest this game as a must have if you like playing against someone. The multi-player capabilities on this game are amazing. This game reminds me of Doom but with tanks. I played about 30 games for the Sony 2 and this game has the best graphics and gameplay. The whole family gathers around the living room and we have tournaments. AWSOME GAME!! Thanks Amazon for making my holidays much better.

If you enjoy Multi-Player games then you will love this one. We have tournaments with the whole family. Everyone loves this game including my parents. The game is similiar to Doom but you are able to blow up buildings. The graphics are very realistic and it shows buildings getting demolished. You could run over stuff and there is secret weapons. My whole family had a tournament recently and everyone enjoyed playing. My grandmother even liked this game. This is a great game for the family to play. This is definitly the best multi player game available. This game blows away Madden for the Sony 2.

Alright, first off I'm a little confused. All the people who have written reviews so far sound like the exact same person. Is that just me, or? ;)
I played Battletanks and Global Assualt on the '64 and I loved them, not for the graphics, sound or missions, but for the multiplayer.
Truthfully, if you have no friends, do not buy this game. I only really enjoy playing it with other people for a few hours.
That one review really confused me though:
If the some of the missions were somewhat confusing, exactly how was this mindless 'blowing things up,' Which it is, I will not argue that point. But if you buy a game about tanks in a post apocolyptic world, what exactly are you expecting? 'World Destruction League' Hello, Mcfly.
Anywho, the graphics are nice on this, not great but nice. Its a nice advancement from the first two games, though I miss the little flaming bear. Hee.
The wraith tank is sick, I have yet to gain a useful strategy against that thing. When drones are off he just sits around waiting for one of us. I am learning to watch both screens.
I have to go with the Dragonfly, but thats just me;)
Happy blowing things up,
John

World destruction league is a pretty cool game but towards the end gets you feeling like you already did it. In the mission mode you get to choose your tank and start blasting away. Whitch is fairly simple but gets harder. The multiplayer is the best thing though. The different settings are capture the flag, death match, and domination where you get to capture emmiters and use the drones against your enemy. The controls are fairly simple to get use to, and the graphics aren't the greatest but o.k. All in all this game is fun in multiplayer but repetative in the mission mode.Although I would suggest buying World Destruction League Thunder Tanks.
Great game

This is a great game. Graphics are pretty good..with LOTS of explosions. Frame rate starts at 60fps, then drops to like 50 with one or two tanks on screen, with 3-4 to 40..and so on. But it seems that the game never drops below 30 frames a second regardless of what's on the screen. If you like twisted metal type games, like me, this game is great..while you wait for twisted metal black....................
pretty good game

the game is alright. multiplayer mode is the best part. it is an extremely "in-expensive" game so it is worth your money.
