The BEST PS2 game!

If you're interested in buying a DDR game for your PS2, be sure to pick up this bundle!
So what's to like about this game? First, there's a ton of different songs to choose from. You have your typical DDR Japanese songs. Some are sort of weird but each of them are very fun to play. You have your "oldies" songs so that adults from the 70s and 80s will have songs that they will enjoy dancing to. And then you have your more recent songs so that younger kids and teens will have songs they they enjoy. It's an eclectic group of songs. Second, there are different levels of play. I like to play the "Basic" level but I have a cousin who has difficulty getting the dance moves right so I put him on "Easy". You can have two different difficulties of play for two different people for the same song which will make it fair for, say, an adult and a young kid to play. Third, there are different ways to play. You can play the traditional way. You can play the exercise way (where it lets you know how many calories you've burned). You can play the 3 round way. There are a lot of options with this game.
What's not to like? Not much. If you want to play with another person, you'll need to buy a seperate mat (this bundle only comes with one). I find that playing this game by myself can get a bit boring so I usually play with another person. Also, the price may be a bit high for some people but for the amount of play you'll be getting out of it, price shouldn't be an option.
I got this as an early Christmas gift last year and when my entire family came over for Christmas day, we played this for a good few hours. When you have get-togethers, instead of bringing out the traditional board game, try this instead. The entire family will LOVE it!
Great choice for a clumsy novice

This bundle is my first experience with DDR. I did some research on which PS2 DDR was the best choice for beginners, and Supernova seemed to be the winner. That it came bundled with the dance pad was a bonus, and for the price, I am very happy. I am still very clumsy, but both my husband and I are addicted to the game. I like that the workout mode records are saveable and cumulative. I don't like that you're pretty much on your own for figuring out anything more complex than step--step--step--step--etc., but that's just a learning style thing. (My husband would hate a linear-type lesson, so he's just fine on his own.) For beginners, the included dance pad is fine. Even jumping around futilely like a complete jacka!?# on the really hard songs, it doesn't slide. (Putting duct tape Xes on each arrow might help with mat proprioception, though.) Overall, this is the only PS2 thing I love and a workout I can stick with.

This is a game that you HAVE TO BUY. If you are into to dancing this is the game for you. I play the game everyday berfore dinner. It is cool because you get to use the Eye Toy. With the Eye Toy you can do Hands and Feet together, and with it you can see yourself dance in the TV screen. This is a fun game YOU should own.

This game is loads of fun. A good mix of current songs and J-Pop are selectable for play. It's an excellent workout, too.
I am very happy with it

This is the first DDR game therefore there is no comparison.
But the whole family, including the Dad and the 5 yr old daughter, enjoyed it tremendously. It is a game that can make you addicted to exercise.
We do wish that we get a better pad in the future. But the one came with the package is good enough for a beginner.

My cousin brought over her PS1 with a DDR game and 2 dance pads. We spent 3 hours playing it and had a blast. I was hooked and decided to get my own DDR gear for my workouts. I was thinking about buying a used PS1 (because of the low cost), but quickly realized I'd be pigeon-holed into having only 1 DDR game out of 6 or 7 that would be compatible with the unit. Bogus. So, we decided to spring for a new PS2 (just a little advice for anyone contimplating getting a Play Station).
The DDR Super Nova Bundle is a great starter kit for those new to DDR. It comes with the Super Nova game and 1 dance pad. I like this particular game because it has more choices to SLOW THINGS DOWN a bit for the less in shape (like myself) or for those who need to ease into this whole DDR thing slowly. It also features songs from actual artists like Kelly Clarkson, David Bowie and Cyndi Lauper, rather than just play cover songs. Some even play the game against the backdrop of the songs original music video (although it is hard to follow the arrows when you're paying attention to David Bowie up against that jukebox, but I digress). The workout mode rocks out loud. You enter any or all of the following info: weight, calories you want to burn or amount of time you want to workout, distance, etc. There is also an instructional part so you can be sure to so it correctly.
Downside? The dance pad clearly states that you should have bare feet when playing, not even stocking feet and certainly not shoes (they ruin the dance pad). But even with a thick rug and yoga mat underneath, I question if this will hurt the arches of our feet at some point. Also, the workout section only features the same 6 songs over and over again; you have to individually key in different songs each time if you want a variety, which becomes cumbersome when you're trying to keep your heartrate up. Another reveiwer commented on the scantily clad girls in some of the animation; although I'm not a prude, I have to agree. It's rated E+10 for this reason, I suppose. Still, it's a fun game that gets the whole family off the couch and burning some calories.

I love this game! I get in a great workout without even feeling like I'm being punished. It's a lot of fun, with a lot of variety. Even my friends had fun with it. It's also the most fun of the DDR games, I think.

I'm not knocking Dance Dance Revolution. I'm sure it is a wonderful product, I wouldn't know however because its been 3 weeks since I've ordered it from Amazon and according to UPS it hasn't been shipped yet. It was supposedly in stock at the time and was supposed to ship in 2-3 days from when I placed my order. I ordered an extra dance mat from another merchant selling on Amazon and got that in less than a week. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't allow me to rate it's own service. I guess they are afraid that the merchants that sell through Amazon would have much higher ratings than Amazon itself does. Whenever you can, order from a merchant with a high rating instead of Amazon.
