this is a game to rent NOT to buy

i am really in to the civil war. When i bought this game i thought it would be fun. i was mistaken, the game only has 12 missions none of which are easy, its like pulling teeth. The game doesn't save itself so if you forget for some reason your out of luck. Another thing is you only get to play one side of the battle. this is a game to rent NOT to buy.

This game ia great. It is very historically accurte. It isn't a well-known fact that there were grenades or sniper rifles in the war. Some levels are kind of difficult, but I enjoy the challenge. i wish there were more levels. It is a little short but that doesn't bother me. I also wish there was more line fighting, or calvary and infantry charges. It is a great enough game overall to get 5 stars in both categories. buy it.

Excellent game overall. A little short but difficult which makes up for it. I Totally recommend it for people who like war games and history.

a disgrace that History channel lent their name to this piece of poorly designed garbage.The simplistic settings and small scale settings gave no indication of involvement on a grand scale war,rather a feeling of early video game simplistic development.Jim

This was an X-mas gift for my husband and he really enjoys it. He is a big history buff and wanted it as soon as it came out! On another note, information and delivery time from [...] was excellent. You far exceeded my expectations!

A video game that is educational

I bought this game for my 14 year old son and he loves it. He is a history buff and loves video games. This game marries the two. The great thing is the game is affiliated with the History Channel and there is a lot of educational information tucked away in the game. Even for a child not interested in history, it's a great way to entertain and sneak in a few details about the sacrifices made in our country during very different times.

This is a great game. I dont do much, just sit by a cannon and whatch the gourgeus men in uniforn load round after round. I named one fort "easy to capture. " It had one broken cannon and 5 wounened men guarding it. It diden't last the war... Then I went thourogh a blue stage and stood infront of a cannon. The men diden't care. I also was a bigger problem to my men just sitting there. But they just left me. I also capture a cannon and shot at my own men. They shot back... This is a good game but don't stand in front of a cannon. You won't like it. I once walk up to a enemy calvery charge. They ran me over. I like to sit by enemy wouned soldiers and poured water on them. Then taught them to fly with a cannon. They all got A's. But diden't get up for their grades. It's fun to taunt men. aiming a gun at their head. then shooting their legs. they just scerm.

Good game for my son, it was number one on his Christmas List. Unfortunately, he and two of his friends that also got this game have already beaten it. The graphics are great and the historical accuracy is unquestionable. Overall, a really nice addition to his Civil War collection.

i read the reviews and bought the game anyway. i play games to have fun not to learn about history. its a game and treated as such its fun to play. i am not saying you should or should not buy this game on how much i liked it.go for it....its just a game.
