My husband and I are enjoying this game so much that we're keeping it instead of giving it to the grand children! (We'll buy another) I just wish my husband would quit winning all the time!

I bought this game for a Christmas present for my boyfriend's 3 year old nephew who is an avid fisher! Going by the rating, I thought he would be able to play it. It was really hard for him to get used to the game. It was difficult to learn the steps in order to reel a fish in and cast. It looks like a great game and the older kids and adults had a lot of fun playing it. I would say this game is for kids 6 and up.

Very Fun!!!!!

Got this for my 5 year old son because he really likes fishing. We are both having a great time playing this game. He was able to pick up the controls in about 15 minutes. It is pretty cool that you can hook a fish right away instead of having to wait around for a bite like on some other fishing games. The graphics are not very good but who cares when the game is so much fun to play. Using the Numchuck to reel in a fish feels very realistic. This game is a great value for the $29 price.

As a fan of the Old Black Bass, I ahve to say i was hooked after playing. I have been known to play for up to 3 hours at a time - until my arms hurt. It is fun, and you actually catch a lot fish. My 6 year old has trouble with the controls but also likes it.

very disappointing

I am very disappointed in this game and am looking for a better one the whole family can enjoy. The graphics are antiquated and there is much to read and do before getting started. The grandfather's head just keeps "talking" at you and giving much direction. It is impossible for my younger children to play on their own. My husband is fine with it, but it is not enjoyable for the kids.

Simply fun

This budget title is surprisingly entertaining. Despite N64-era graphics and generic anime characters, the gameplay is fun and addictive. Mastering casting and reeling took only a couple tries, and doesn't require a lot of finesse or remote-waggling. The game makes no attempt to be a hardcore realistic fishing sim, and that's the fun. There's plenty of variables like seasons, bait, and location to affect your catch, but not so much that it's overwhelming. Tournaments, quests, and the challenge of catching all the rare fish should keep you busy for many hours. It's a shame there's no multiplayer co-operative mode for the full game, only a head-to-head minigame. A good pick for the price, and fans of Wii Sports will probably enjoy this one.

Fun, Realistic, Addictive

This is an outstanding family game. The graphics are "cute" enough to appeal to everyone in the family, particularly younger ones. The controls are very realistic, just like real fishing. Your timing on your casts can make or break a good cast just like real fishing. Using the Nunchuck to reel in the catch adds to the realism. Each fish is unique in their "struggle" to land them. Pull too hard and your line breaks. Not enough tension and you loose your fish. The choice of fishing locations, rods, baits, and the many different kinds and sizes of fish make this game refreshing and fun each time you play it. This game really is a blast!

Unassuming Fun!

Excellent game for me and my 6 year old to play together. The kids can start reeling in the small-fry fish right away, and there is enough nuance and skill required to keep the adults going after the whoppers! My 6 year old picked this out and I wasn't expecting much. This one gets played more than any other in my house. Good, solid Gameplay.

Best Fishing Game for the Wii

This is my favorite fishing game for the Wii. You can fish in different areas, buy bait, new equipment, enter tournaments etc. Plus you get a really cute dog companion that gets really excited when you have hooked a big fish. The reason I ordered it from amazon was because it was sold out in all my local stores.

First off - im in the older generation - my fiance and I picked this game up and have to say it is a total blast to play - granted the graphics are not top of the line - but the excitement of fighting a fish on your line is amazing- I was thinking of getting sega fishing or hooked but took this to try it out and am glad i did- yes its arcady and yes cartoony but still the most fun i have had on the wii to date- it really gets intense when you hook a fish - i hope they make a second one that would include multi player over wi fi -
