Animal Genius was by far my 7 year old daughter's favorite game on her Leapster. When they came out with the same game for her new Nintendo DS, I was a little hesitant to buy it, afraid that it might be the same exact game as the Leapster model. She'd played the Leapster version so much, I think she answered every single question she could, several times over. But, the DS version is different enough that she is, once again, engaged and learning alot about animals. I really like the fact that this game is educational and fun.
Way too easy.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 14yr daughter who loves animals and trivia. When she played it, it was way too easy. This game is targeted more for younger kids, maybe 5 - 7yr. Hope this helps in your purchase.

My 4 year old just got this game as a gift yesterday and he hasn't put it down since! There is a lot to keep them busy without being overwhelming and it is one of the few fun educational games out there. The best part about it is that it talks to the children instead of making the children read. A lot of games say that they are age appropriate for everyone but very few 4 and 5 year olds can read full paragraphs about what they have to do to play the game! I would highly recommend this game to anyone with children.

My daughter is 6 and has really enjoyed this game. She has learned a lot of animal facts. My 14 year old was not as impressed so I would recommend it for younger audiences.

the ages of my kids ranges from 6 to 9. All of them really enjoy this game. The 6 yr old is a little more challenged, of course, but overall it is a good game -- great facts, great pics of animals, great range of habitats. Overall good value for the money we spent. Highly recommend.
Great game for kids and they learn!

i bought this game for my 6 year old son and he loves it
he needs a little help once in a while, but he can do most of the game on his own
he gets so excited when he wins a new animal
it is a game filled with matching, hand/eye coordination and question answering
he has fun while he learns a little bit about wild animals

My son loves everything about this game! He already knew a lot about animals, but has run up to me a million times telling me new facts he has learned from the game. So nice that he is learning while playing his DS! Very easy for young children to play and great for building his reading skills! LOVE IT!

I was leary getting this game for my kids we already have the leapster version which is great. So here it goes it is more challenging than the leapster's version and more fun. More animals more advanced than the leapster version. My kids love it excellent. This game is seriously better than the leapster version of it. My 4 year old does better on the leapster version. My 7 year old says it is more fun and challenging than the leapster and I agree with here. Love it

This game keeps my daughter entertained for hours. There are several different games to choose from, and all the games teach a variety of facts about many different animals. My daughter loves using it to quiz friends on animal facts.
