I rented this game thinking this would be the best game ever. Boy was I wrong. 'Monster Truck Madness 64' stinks. It has very little options, and even though there are five or six multiplayer options, they are all the same thing and they are boring. The controls are terrible, the 1-player is even more terrible than the contols, and the main menu is the most terrible thing of all. I'm suprised this game was even made, it's so terrible. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! If you buy it, you'll 100% regret buying it. DO NOT BUY. EVER.

Big fun - alone, or at a party

When I rented this game, I found it to be rediculously fun. I invited my friends over and we enjoyed it all night. The single player mode including a chanshiop round keeps you on the edge of your seat. And the multiplayer battle games include king of the hill, soccer, hockey, and tag. The controls are a little tough to get used to. But with time you can master the feel of a real monster truck.

The game has a good feature when it comes to the battle games, but it is missing one crusial thing that makes the monster trucks what they are: car crushing. If that is missing, than the absolute highest I'll give it is 3 stars, and I gave it that because it is fun to rolol over the truck and bang your opponent silly. Overall, OK, But too much is left out.

The trucks do handle like a monster truck would but it gets REALLY annoying. It's hard to figure out where the track is. The whole time we were just going around in circles not knowing how to get back on course. The summit battle is fun though, that is the only part we play on the game.

Some truck-crushing fun

"Monster Truck Madness" is a pretty good game. When I first played it, I thought that it had some of the worst control out of any video game I've ever played. However, after I played it more, I got used to the control and it wasn't too bad. The game has a lot of options of play, which is what makes "Monster Truck Madness" a good game. You can choose many of your favorite monster trucks such as Bigfoot, Snakebite, Grave Digger, and many others. You can play up to four players at the same time in tournament mode or battle mode. The battle mode is the best part of the game in my opinion. You can play soccer, hockey, a summit level where you try to stay on top of an NWO sign the longest, a chase mode, and a tag mode. To give the game better replay value, there are a lot of secrets and codes that you can use in the game to get hidden tracks, make your trucks have huge tires, etc.

I recommend anybody who has a Nintendo 64 to at least rent "Monster Truck Madness." When you first play it, you might scoff at how bad the controls are or how easy you get tipped over, but after you play it awhile, you should get used to it. The only real bad thing about the game is that it doesn't tell you when you're going the wrong way.

AWESOME GAME

monster truck madness is too wild, the trucks handle like real 4x4 would, making it more realistic. a must have for anyone who has ever driven off-road

I really enjoy this game. The racing is fun but you have to go slow because if you don't you will crash and go back to last place unless you are far ahead of everybody. I like the Summit Rumble and it is not very hard. The hardest part is getting to the platfom sometimes. The soccer and hockey games are fun but is hard to control the ball in soccer.
