This is really, One of the most fun Fighting games, I've ever played. Even if you like Fighters, Like, Mortal Kombat, You should still like this. Don't let the Cartoon Slap stick, Tom and Jerry type Game play fool you, Tom and Jerry: Fists of Furry, is a Very hard fighter. And the Multi player mode, Is right up there with Mario Kart 64. You can pick, Fighters like, The little yellow Duck, And Spike the Bull Dog, and fight in 3-D Areas, like the Kitchen, And the Back alley. You have total Freedom, To move around anywhere in the area, You pick, And My favorite thing of all, In this game, You can walk up and hit your foe, Of coarse, But: That takes very little of his life out, If you want to fight like a pro, Then you have to use your Surroundings, You can pick up, Forks, (In the Kitchen), Trash cans, ( In the Alley), or Candy canes, (In the Christmas livingroom, Setting) . And much more! As usual, Multi player, Is the best part, But, one player, Is also very good, And its the most fun, Slap stick fighter, I've played. If you like Multi player, And if you like good Fighters, Tom and Jerry, Fists of Furry, if your game.

Nice game isn't nice enough

Super Smash Brothers dominated the fighting genre on the Nintendo 64 for a long time. Tom and Jerry tries to top it, but it just can't. It's a 3D fighting game starring characters from the cartoon, and carries that same, goofy zest. You chase each other around several unique arenas and kick and punch each other. Yet kicking and punching is a very minimal part of the game. Several amusing weapons, props, hazards, and power-ups will aid you in your quest to domination. It's a wonderful idea, but it gets foiled by its lack of product. Playing alone, Tom and Jerry gets very old... right after it gets very frustrating. The two-player mode can be a blast, though, but the gameplay is just not varied and frantic enough to last for hours like, say, that "other" game can.

Most fun I've ever had

This game is very one-note, meaning boring, many points in the game are unfair such as, occasionally a golden question mark falls from the sky. If you pass through it, you'll get a special ability (for a short time) such as invincibility, invisibility or the measles (the measles will slowly sap your energy). My experience has been sometimes the question mark actually falls on your opponent, instantly giving him an ability BUT THEN you never got a fair chance to get to it first! Whenever I have gotten to the question mark first I get the measles. But my opponent always gets invincibility, invisibility or has the ability to do double the damage on any attack (for a short time). You have to jump through hoops (not literally) to get any deluxe features in the game (like beat all other six characters in a row and at the end of each battle at the bottom of the screen it must say "perfect", then you will be able to play as all other characters BUT if you want the team play mode, you must beat the game once with each character in a row which would take something like six, maybe eight hours. This has nothing to do with a memory pak. Many times you will throw an item at your opponent, he'll catch it and throw it back to you -- this is known as a reversal. But when he throws it back to your character it will hit your character and possibly do double the damage. This is the whole game, all the time. Spike and his son, Tyke, are far too fast compared to the other characters. Spike will punch with his left paw, right paw and then punch the character on top of the head, flattening your character. He will do this for up to the entire round, never giving your character a chance to fight back. There is no way to avoid this, it's not a matter of knowing any special techniques, it's a matter of design. The cartoon is not interactive but it's more enjoyable. I've had to stop playing the game numerous times because I can't stand the sight of poor Tom or poor Spike getting burnt by a hot poker or getting seriously injured by bombs that pop up. In my opinion it is a lot like Mortal Kombat. Don't waste your money or your time.

It's a great companion to cartoon lovers

Come on peopple, what are you expecting? A fatality with everybodies favorite!. Please, is Cartoon, they never get kill. Is a great game, I love The cartoon enviroment, plus the effects when they got pinch, It's hilarious.

I give it 4 stars bercause after you have beat all the "deadly" Foes, It gets kinda boring. But Besides that, is funny help Tom to beat everything out of jerry for once in it's life.

No Brainer.... :-)

Blood, guts, gore? Ha! That's exactly what you won't see in this great title. It's more like, squeaks, barks, quacks, pops, bangs, and all those other great sounds you'd expect to hear in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. This game stays true to the show from the slapstick reactions to the weapons and things used to overcome your opponent. The gameplay is fast and furious, guaranteeing that you'll stay hooked and keep those fingers banging on the buttons. The level of challenge is very good no matter what setting you put it on. The characthers (I beleie nine or so in all) are funny and directly from the show. They even include their own pre-fight taunts! At the end of however many carachters you face there is a sort of boss. The boss is something like a giant Jerry or an Invisible Tom, depending on which characther you play with and are very challenging. This title is great for any age from experienced gamers to little tots. (Well, 4 or 5 at least.) If your thinking about buying this game and don't know if you should... It's a no brainer! Don't hesitate and buy it! It's definitley worth the money!

Tom & Jerry on the Nintendo 64

This is a Tom & Jerry game with all the characters from the cartoon such as Tom, Jerry, Spike, the duckling, etc., so it's just a game made for kids right? WRONG! Even though it is a game that will appeal to mostly kids who like watching the Tom & Jerry cartoons, this game can be fun for anybody who likes playing unique fighting games from time to time. It's unique because its main fighting moves don't involve punching, kicking, and special powers. You can punch and kick, but it's the weakest way to fight against your opponent. The main thing you do to defeat your enemies in this game is to throw items such as boxes, chairs, bombs, tomatoes, and even a washer at your opponent. Anytime your enemy throws something at you, you can either run for your life, duck, or catch it and throw it back at them. You can also kick an item across the floor, and there are graphical effects in the environments that can hurt you such as fire and falling pots. Not to mention that there are powerups to help you out in the form of a yellow question mark, such as invisibility, contagious measles, double the power, etc.

The fighting arenas consist of places you've seen in the cartoons themselves such as an alley, the kitchen, a farm, etc. There are 10 levels in all, some of which you must earn by making your way through the single player game. "Tom & Jerry: Fists of Furry" is a lot of fun, especially going up against a friend, but it's not perfect. One of the bad things about it is that there are only 2 playable characters to begin with: Tom and Jerry. To earn the other players you have to beat the game over and over in single player mode. That takes me to my only other complaint: For the most part, the challenge is well-balanced, but even on easy mode, most of the bosses, especially the invisible Tom, are extremely hard. This means that it can get real frustrating, but it's still a lot of fun and once you get all or most of the characters, it'll always be fun to play against someone else if you're in a fighting mood.

"Tom & Jerry: Fists of Furry" is a fun game and it's easy to learn and get used to the simple controls. Just try not to get real frustrated while you're playing the one-player game.

TONS OF FUN AND COOL GRAPHICS.

This is a good game for everyone, especially for Tom and Jerry Fans. This game is really a good choice because it is very funny, and have very cool graphics. You have to help Jerry to not get chased by Tom doing a lot of crazy stuff like the famous mouse tramp in Tom's tail or cutting Tom's mustach. It's worth the money you'll spend on this game. Don't hesitate to buy it.
