I really love this game! It took a few to get used to it's version of racing physics, but once I started to get it, it started to get more fun for me. I imagine that a wheel setup would be very good for this game, but I'm just not that much into gaming to have/want one.
All (most) of the cars stear/handle/sound quite different, as opposed to other racing games where only the cars skin changes. Some cars are better for some tracks (as in reality), and it's a pretty neat challenge finding which cars react best on a track.
The only drawback that I've seen is the VERY annoying requirement of unlocking/collecting cars/tracks. I like the ability to cheat in games, and this doesn't allow you to...but that's the only drawback I see.
Solid Game with only a few flaws

Ford Racing 2 helps fill a hole in mac gaming, namely the lack of racing games. Great graphics, fairly good sound. It's main weakness is playability hampered by extremely sensitive keyboard controls that make you crash your car from side to side, like you have a high blood alcohol level. Unfortunately, the in game controls are not helpful, but you can adjust the keyboard response rate in System X's System Preferences. Ideally a wheel should be used with this game, though at this point I can't justify the expense and with some practice and frustration you can control the cars with a keyboard. Also, the physics model is not very realistic in that no damage shows up, no matter how much you run in to walls or cars. Ferral's racing games get better and better, and I would recommend this game to someone that enjoys racing games and has a fair amount of patience.
