Truly educational

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

Teachers, take note: this game is highly addictive, and will encourage your students to spell words properly, experiment with new vocabulary and have fun - all in your very classroom. Although it is nominally a one - person game, small groups of kids have a great time pointing out spellings to one another, and if you are lucky enough to have a number of Bookworm - equipped Macs in your classroom, you have a ready - made championship on your hands.
There are those that question the educational value of video games. They need to try Bookworm.

Bookworm fails to deliver

The copy of Bookworm is different than the download we used to learn the game. There are no "bonus" words. The definitions for educational purposes
are accurate but rarely show up.

Our granddaughter got us hooked on this great game!

My wife and I first encountered this game via a link on our grandaughter's fourth grade teacher's website. It was so fun we ordered a version for our computer (a Mac) at home. It's a great way to learn new words and it makes you think fast when those burning tiles start moving! The graphics are cool and we don't get tired of playing it because each game is different in that you don't know what letter are going to come your way. The "action" game mode is challenging because of the speed but it's still fun. If you love words, you'll love this game. -- Jake M., Kansas City
