you can never have too much pacman

I really love the Pacman game for GBA than the one I had for my CGB.This Pacman comes with four different games that are equally fun and intriguing to play. One of my favorite games is "Pacman Arrangement," which has a variety of cool mazes and music to go along with it. It also happens to be the only game I can beat! "Pac Attack," my other favorite games,is very similiar to Tetris. The hardest game for me to conquer is the hip, colorful 3D "Pac Mania." The mazes in this game change different themes every two levels and gradually become larger. The cool thing is that PacMan can *jump* over the ghosts- but they can jump too! No matter how many times I try, I can never get past the board with the orange roof, and when I quit my thumb is quite sore...Last, but definetly not least, is the original "PacMan." That's always fun and challenging.

All It Needs Is Buckener & Garica

Buckener & Garcia had a hit 1982 song "Pac Man Fever" and that's what you'll have if you are playing this game. The graphics are great, you can actually see the characters and Pac-Man is very addictive. Four versions are included to keep game playing value very high. I really like the Pac-Attack, a Tetris-like game that is included along with the Original, Pac-Man Arrangement, and Pac-Mania, a 3D game that's fun to play.

This game is worth the money if you are a fan of original arcade games!

4 Games for the price of one. Pac-Man Arrangement, a 2.5D (not totally 3d) version of pac-man that is probably the best of the 4 games, Old Skool Pac-Man;(nuff said),Pac-Attack; A Tetris-like Pac-Man Game with 100 levels of insanity, and Pac-Mania; a 3D Pac-Man who can jump over the ghosts, answering my childhood question, why doesn't pac-man jump over the ghosts.

Pac-man lives on as one of the best in retro-gaming...

Ever since I've worked at this summer day camp, Pac-man (along with Ms. Pac Man) were my favorites among their choice of arcade machines in the game rooms. Thus, bringing it back further to my nostalgic Atari days. No buttons; just the turn of a joystick. While the GBA unfortunately lacks that periphal, Pac-Man Collection offers 4 good games ranging in difficulty and strategy.

Pros:
- The Classic Pac Man game and the short-lived Pac-Mania
- A chance for Pac-Mania to shine with superb graphics
- Passwords for puzzle mode in Pac-Attack, allowing you to continue the last level you completed
-The settings menu. Need more lives? More levels? Feel free to splurge.
-All the sounds and cut-scenes

Cons:
-Because of the GBA's shape, the Full Screen and Scroll for Pac-Man aren't too great, since Full Screen shrinks the gamefield down considerably and Scroll only shows half at a time. Pac-Man is best when you can see the whole field in good detail
-Pac-Mania offers too-many-deaths since you can't really see ghosts coming from the bottom of the screen
-Pac-Arrangement is fun but the game ends quickly
-Pac-Attack's Normal Mode is tough; stick with Puzzle Mode

Although I wish the original Pac-Man had more level variety like Ms. Pac Man, this is still a must-have for the retro-gamers who actually played an Atari. Pretty cheap, too. So chop down on a must-have for your GBA!

Another score for a Pacman collection

The Pacman games have always been great, getting hardeer as they go on. Either the ghosts get smarter or the level has more pellets to get. I don't know why people want to get Ms. PacMan when it says PAC MAN COLLECTION (notice there is no Ms.) I think that they did great putting them together, making sure that they are not all too much alike. THey have the puzzle one, they have the 3D one, another where you can finally jump, and the original. you cannot have a collection with out the original.

Great collection!

It's a nice collection of Pac-Man, Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack. I'm STILL trying to beat the original! Pac-Attack, 100 stages, gotten through about 30. I already beat Pac-Man Arrangement and Pac-Mania. The easiest was Pac-Man Arrangement, then Pac-Mania(could've been easiest if it wasn't for that 3rd level!!! Levels 1, 2, and 4 are easy though), then Pac-Man, then Pac-Attack.

If you don't have a GBA or DS, GameCube and Xbox has Namco Museum. Pac-Man and Pac-Man Arrangement are there. Pac-Attack is unlockable by getting 25000 points on Pac-Man. Pac-Mania, 20000 points on Ms. Pac-Man. Remember to save it!

Good Collection, but Could be Better...

NAMCO has brought their classic arcade game PACMAN to the GBA, and it seems to be a bit lost in translation.

PACMAN (2.5/5)
The classic arcade game with the originol graphics. It breaks my heart to rate this game 2.5 stars, but it was intended for a larger screen original

PACMAN ARRANGEMENT (3/5)
The game by itself would deseve four stars (again, there is no saving) but it is almost identical to the originol PACMAN game. The only real difference is that it has brighter graphics and better music, and these aspects don't really add any enjoyment to the game.

PACMANIA (3/5)
Like PACMAN ARRANGEMENT, this is extremely simalir to the originol arcade game only with better sounds and graphics. You can use the A and B buttons to jump over the ghosts which makes the game easier than it all ready is. Again, I am puzzled by the fact you can't save your scores.

PAC-ATTACK (5/5)
This is definately the best game in the collection. Like TETRIS, there are blocks falling from the sky that need to be arranged, but here some of the blocks contain a ghost. If you arrange the ghosts in the right order, you are allowed to eat them. The game-play is addictive and challenging. in fact, the game is so much fun I would buy PAC MAN COLLECTION just to have it in my GBA library.

Overall, this is a flawed but enjoyable collection of games

Almost every game in this collection deserves 5 stars. Pac-Man Arragement is truly a pac fan's dream! Pac-Man, and PacMania will bring a fuzzy feeling to any retro arcade fan...if you like video-games and grew up in the '80's then you will appreciate this...

My 8 year old son begged for this game after playing it at Target. He lost interest in it pretty quickly. It's nostalgic, but lacks the fancy graphics and intensity of the games of today. It's probably more fun for those of us who remember playing PacMan in the arcades.
