I was in my twenties when I played this series of games for the first time with my younger brother, who is only a year and a half younger than I. There are fantastic songs ranginging from all types. A lot of them can get stuck in your head!
You basically watch the screen and hit the bongo combinations with the beat of the song. The better in rhythm you are, the better the score. There are three difficulty levels ranging from really easy to OMG impossible! Though there are only a couple that were really difficult to get a gold DK on. (if you score high enough you can get a bronze, silver, or gold DK for the song)
You can play together with a friend adding more sound combinations to a song, or you can play against each other to see who gets the best score!
Yes, it's a lot like dance dance revolution, but you use your hands instead of prancing around on your feet.
All in all, I think it's a real fun game for music lovers, and is even a tool to teach rhythm to some point. Very fun!
Jungle beat is a lot different. You use the bongos instead of a controller to move DK around and smash things. Not a whole lot to it, but a nice break if a song is getting on your nerves :-p
