Okay, folks, let me first say that I am TERRIBLE at fighting games. Period. I have basically no skill, and I often think to much when I am spposed to be having fun. That said, this game rocks! It is fun, relatively easy to master for a decent gamer, and not too hard for someone like me to keep up. The graphics are excellent, and the movement is consistent - not too much waiting between screens (my least favorite part of the new 'CD-ROM style' of video games). The characters are true to form, and any X-Men fan will simply love it. I had a friend over who is a game fiend, and I actually fell asleep for a while; he kept playing until 2 am! It's that good! I definitely recommend this game for serious gamers and novices alike.

I love it, hours of fun, great Game. Try to unlock secret characters and play in different settings with your favorite X-Men characters, definatly a must get!

For a person who likes fighting games, this would be a game like Super Smash Bros. Melee. You choose a charcter, play their moves to hurt and kill other people. It's very entertaining.

The problem is pretty much, I would have liked it or somehow based it to a resemblance of the Xmen movie...And the graphics, would have to be changed too. Cause it feels like you are fighting pollygons instead of human features...

But overall, I got it for Christmas, and it's a good game, it will suprise you...Even if you really don't have the time to rent it, buying it, you will still be impressed..

this is the best game ever. It has cool graphics and matrix. Wolverine is so cool with this big claw and everything. You should definetly buy this game.

I want to warn anyone reading this review. Don't buy it. Don't even rent it. I rented it and I wished I hadn't. This game is so bad. Myabe it isn't bad for some other gaming systems, but for GameCube it is bad. I like to play any game with the control stick on the controller. I don't know anyone who prefers the little plus-sign directional pad over a control stick. Well, if you plan on jumping at all (which is necessary to any fighting game) don't plan on using the control stick. For some reason, some programmer thought it would be a good idea to make the stick useless and go back to the old school directional pad. Dumb idea.

It was also very stupid for them to put the moves in the pause menu. This is a pain. Overall, there are much better fighter games. I am not into fighter games but I wanted to try this one because it was X-Men. Well, except for the obvious license. This could have very well be any other generic fighting game.

This game rocks! I myself love X-men and I love this game. You play as characters and you kick other characters butts!! Or you fry them or you punch them or u shoot them ((mistique)) or you enter their minds and K.O. them from there ((psylocke/betsy)). My personal fav is Psylocke, the game calls her besty. She's one of the fastest and her level 4 combo attack enters your mind through your eyes and kills u ((if your not at full health or it will nearly kill u)). And Walverine has these "Matrix" attacks where his moves slows down time in the middle of his attack and the camera moves like in the movie. And the graphics are EXECELLENT! In the 1st level you start on a building, you can knock the player off into a billboard then they fall on a cab! Or you can knock them down to a lower part of the roof them kick them !through! a building and onto the street. The only downside is that the controls are hard to master and can mess you up in other games. I would give it a 4.5 star game

X-Men ups the ante

The game, although simplistic in gameplay, has incredible graphics and many modes to play with. It's almost as if you're playing the much tallied sequel to the X-men Motion picture-full with Patrick Stewarts voice as Professor Xavier. the combos are awesome, and the storyline setting is great, and the battle arenas are incredible and vast. it's not the same X-men game like the Capcom games... it's much better! the charachters resemble more of the movie and X-men: Evolution than the FOX version of the cartoon. X-men fans can't go wrong with this game.

this game is extremely FUN! The graphicsare are pretty god .The characters
include Cyciops,Phoenix,Wolveerine,Gambit,Rogue and moer.
