This game was a lot of fun when it worked. And I mean alot. Then one day it just stopped loading. Removed and reinstalled it, same thing. Shortly there after I bought a new computer and loaded it. It worked for about a week then dead again. I bought a new copy of the game, same thing. I went to the companies web site and got no response. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Be careful buying this unless you only want to play it for a short time.
Please good people, forget this one

Please, buy Imperial GLory instead. It's taking a big risk when you buy this game. In my case the game does not play at all. It installed fine but becasue of something it doesn't work. Like other reviewer sad making it work is the War. And i did apply all the patches i could find, played with settings, searched the net for any help and didn't find. The developers/publishers website is closed and non existent. Just stay away of ths. Suprisingly i downloaded the demo and it worked fine but when i compared the graphics and gameplay to Imperial Glory its just like comparing durt and the sky. I have Xp home edition, may be thats the cause, but it could work on Win95 or 98.
Just stopped working and no web support could be found

I loved this game, although I agree with the last reviewer that it can be difficult to jump around. You have to watch for the red flashes to know where things are happening. Some time ago, it simply stopped working. I attribute this to some Windows patch that I applied at the time, but I have been unable to find any support for this game at all.
Even the web page for the game itself is non-functioning, so I have to assume that Microids went out of business or something. So, great game if you can get it to work, but support is horrible.
Getting it up and running is the WAR...

What a sad, sad thing when a PC game with so much potential flops before it even begins! To preface this review I'll note that I have PC technical experience and through eons of gaming I've done my share of tweaking and cursing to get a game to run: haven't we all? Nonetheless this game was absurdly difficult and I gave up on it...
The game installed fine but would not respond to my attempts to activate it. I searched high and low for any patches, updates, and modifications - applying them as needed. I adjusted the settings on my system, updated all drivers, disabled background programs - even rebooted with a barebone configuration! This game would not respond.
I would caution potential buyers that - although it may run fine for them - this game may not work or may work in a crippled fashion on your system. I've posted my basic system specs for reference to buyers.
Windows XP Pro (all SP's and updates installed)
AMD Athlon64 3000+; nForce 430 motherboard; 1GB of DDR400 RAM
Nvdia GeForce 6100 graphics controller w/ 256mb memory
Good Luck
Great game

DO not listen to the other review. It is absurd. This game is one of the best games I have played in a long time. If you like age of the empires this game is 10 times better. The other reviewer obviously just jumped right into this game, skipping the tutorials. I went through the tutorials which are very informational and learned to play the game. Now it provides me with endless hours of fun.
Deserves a Couple of Negative Stars

Look somewhere else for your strategy fix. I was desperate for something new and bought this game, even though I couldn't find any reviews of it. My money was wasted.
So much is so very wrong with this game. For brevity I'll give one example: for your global empire, running in realtime, you have a jump-map of the world about the size of your thumbprint. You hear that there is an attack on, say Montreal, and you have to pick a point in the NW North America, about the size of the head of a thumbtack, click then hunt around for the frickin city you need to find. Then you have to jump to southern Europe and hunt for another city. It is exhausting and stupid - like many other features of this game.
