Overall the game is ok but the story is so fart fetch that buying the game just for the story content its not worth it. The graphics are great and choosing from all the different pros in the game is really a great feature that the series has kept since the begining. But the story is just not good, any real skater will stay away from this game. If you are a Tony Hawk fan or Bam Margera fan this game will suit you, if not, grab your skateboard and go shred rather than buy this game.
Wipeout....

Tony Hawk Underground 2 seems like either the last addition to this extremely successful gaming series, or just a money maker until the next big game-engine revolution or extreme style change. This isn't saying it's a horrible game, in fact it's quite addictive. But Neversoft and Activision could've done a lot better as the programming, porting, and levels seem to be plagued with signs of laziness from the developers. There's plenty of spots where you can't see what's going on, plenty of goals that are nearly impossible due to game bugs (breaking 3 balconies in the New Orleans level is a great example, as often the balconies you fly through aren't counted), and very noticable technical problems they never bothered sorting out. For example, if you use face mapping (where you can put your own face on a skater) and win classic or story mode, your save file is forever corrupted and you have to start the game over. Activision's online support even mentions this inept bug in the FAQ, yet not offering any solution to getting your game back or a patch to fix the problem. On a positive note, the story mode includes some quirky scenes and goals that are fun to play, and the create-a-skater, trick, graphic, goal, park editors are much more detailed than previous games in this series. Retailing at $19.99, this is probably worth your money for the entertainment it will give you. But if you're a Tony Hawk veteren, you'll likely be annoyed by the redundancy of the goals and levels, especially since half of the levels in classic mode are simply ported levels from previous games. There's also a "tagging" option in the game now, but I'm failing to see the fun with it's relation to gameplay. So all in all, yeah it's fun, but they could've done a whole lot better.
good game but yet a big yawnnn!!!

Activision has outdone itself again, every Tony Hawk game had significant improvement in it, and this one is no different. The graffiti option is great, everything is AMAZING, but the theme seems kind of forced... but otherwize it is one of the best games this year. First play it, then buy it... unless you are a previous fan, then buy it now, it even has the 1st level of THPS1 for those old school fans, like me... Not as many main players, but the best bonus is Ryan Scheckler.... Have Fun

this game starts out great, u get to just do watever u want, but it can get boring if u play it to much.
oh, and also, this game is not for button mashers, u really have to know the controls to be able to play this. but the controls suck, they are all on that keypad square thing. it gets real confusing. it is easier to change ollie to spacebar, and grind tricks to the shift key.
overall it is a great game, well worth ur money!
A Decent Addition to My Collection

The game was delivered in perfect addition. I would definitly reccomend buying a controller if your considering buying this. This game is definitely a coninuation of Tony Hawk's the first as you can see by the first level of play in career mode. Not as creative as other new releases, but still worth it for hardcore Tony Hawk's game fans.
Great Fun

I Honestly Loved this game. I will admit I bought a gamepad to play it but it was well worth the cash. The music is killer and lots of diversity. The story is mediocare but what can you expect it's a tony hawk game :). The gameplay (w/ gamepad) is just like a ps2 playthrough. The design: environments look beautiful, tagging is fun, gameplay, diversity, lots of tricks to try, players to try, cool minigames, and as stated before music is great. I honestly give this 5/5. I think the controls make the game so buy a gamepad with this game.
