Remember Dogz 1.0 for the computer? (Yes, it was just called "Dogz" at the time, but there's been so many of them since then!) Dogz GBC is VERY similar! It's a lot of fun, and you get to adopt MANY different kinds of Dogz eventually. I just got my copy yesterday (from here, of course!), and I first adopted a Scottie (Chip), who I renamed Benny. He was soooooo cute, but then he grew up after about 3 or 4 hours and went to the hall of fame. Fortunately, I found out that you can re-adopt petz after they've been in the hall of fame! :-) Since I took such good care of Benny, when I went back to the adoption center, I found a new breed waiting for me! A pink mutt named Mitzy! All in all, the program is very fun with lots of surprises, but I was more than somewhat dissapointed when I found out that you don't get 3 special toys, only 1. Other than that, though, it's really great! :-)

Dogz is a very fun game. It is interactive and enjoyable. This this game is great for kids of all ages. It teaches new levels of creativity. If you take good care of your dogz you can get new breeds and colors of dogz. When you dogz get old the are entered into to a Hall of Fame. They're name is green if you took great care of it. yellow if you take okay care of it and red if you bad care of it. If you like cats betterthan dogs than buy the game catz(also on amazon). You can buy the computer game Catz and Dogz. You can even breed the ones on the computer!

OK, i don't have dogs, so i really want the gameboy version!!! I wish i had a PC, but i have a mac, so i can't get the computer petz games. that stinks, because in the computer version lets you breed your dogz and the gameboy version doesn't. *Boo hoo* well, the gameboy version will be a start. it seems fun enough to keep me playing it for hours. I'm the type of gameboy player that likes creative games like the sims....and escpecially naming things nice things and wierd things. That's all on here...and i can't wait till i get it!!!!!

This is a pretty good game. Kids who like a lot of action in a game, this is not for you. You adopt a Dogz, then you play with it, feed it, and groom it. It is basically the same thing over and over again throughout the whole game, and you might get tired of it fast.

This game was fun at first, but then it got kind of boring... nothing ever changes... really boring once you've played the Dogz computer game. (I have the Dogz 3 PC game.) If you don't have it, DON'T GET IT!!!!! Get one of the Dogz computer games instead!!!

Dogz for GBC is a good game for all ages. It is a lot of fun for a little while, but if you like action, it's not for you. You will get tired of it easily. Even I did, and I'm a die-hard fan of the computer versions. From the start, you choose one of three breeds of dogs (Mutt, Chihuahua, or Scottie) and take care of it until it is old enough to be retired. Each game comes with a variety of toys and objects to care for your dog, and one special toy is included in each game. To collect all of the breeds and toys, you have to trade with other gamers. If you liked the first version of Dogz for the computer, you will probably like it. For another game like this, try Catz for GBC. My overall recommendation would be to buy Dogz 3 or 4 for the computer, where you can feed, groom, play, and even breed the dogz. Hope this was helpful!

The first time I played it I was right into it! But, after a while it got boring! probly one of the cons of this game is that that is not very competetive! There's really nothing to beat. So it's a relaxing game of training dogs. I recomened this game if you like dogs or if you just want a relaxing game. Thanks, for reading my review!

It's agood game if your 4 and under but as the child gets older I'd suggest you get the computer games like petz 3 petz 4 and petz 5! Petz one is boring and petz two is like the same exact thing just diffrent tiles so if you have a child 4and under I say get because it teaches a child to react to a animal game but if your like 8 to whatever age DON't BUY IT!!!!!
An alright game.......

This game is OK. When I first bought it, I was a little disapointed. The graphics aren't very great, and there are only a few sounds throughout the game. There are only three breeds of a dog(chihuaha, mutt, scottish terrier), which disapointed me the most. You get only one special toy, either a tug toy, blue ball, frizzbee,Chew toy,or a mouse. You can change the color of your petz, along with the background. If you want to know the easiest breed to take care of is the chihuaha. They live for about five or six hours, and then they go to the hall of fame. When you go to the hall of fame, your dogs names will be displayed in one of three colors: green, yellow, or red. Green means you took good care of your dog, yellow means fairly well, and red means you took bad care of him.If most of them are in green, you might be able to get rare dogs(dog colored blue,red,green,ect.). If you really miss treat them, they will simply run away.
All in all, its an alright game, with a few graphic and sound disapointments.
